Jacob Hamblin Home

My husband and I enjoyed our tour of the Jacob Hamblin Home. We learned a lot and the Elder who was our guide was friendly and informative.

Nice little tour of an old historic home. Interesting story of the family that lived there. Not open Sunday or evenings.

Fun place to visit and see how a Mormon polygamist lived with two wives and children in the 1800s. Senior Missionary tour guides were knowledgeable and knew their history. Clean restrooms too.

This is a great place to stop for a free tour of southern Utah history. It is good for the whole family and a nice look at civilization back in the time of the founding of Utah.

We spent couple of very delightful hours at this place with the company of this great Missionary Couple (the Severe's) who gave us a very warm welcome. They sat down with us and gave us a wealth of information about the early Mormon history, about Jacob Hamblin and details about his life, his missionary work, how he worked peacefully with... More

Very informative tour. It's amazing to see how people lived and learn a little bit of how St George was settled.

Stopped in while my wife was shopping. Warm welcome by a great missionary couple (the Severes) that new their stuff about this great historic man and his life and home. A must see in Santa Clara. Wonderful feeling here as I heard about Jacob and his great relationship with local Indian tribes. Very good.

This site is a little out of St. George, but worth the drive. The gardens were beautiful and the house was so fun. The furnishing were so interesting.

To reach this FREE historic site you have to drive a little ways out of town, maybe 10 minutes, but it's worth it to see this frontier home. My husband and I visited sans kids but older kids (over 8) might enjoy seeing this site as well. There isn't a whole lot to this home as it's a basic frontier... More

We spent a Saturday afternoon touring this restored home of an early founder of Santa Clara. It was fun to hear about the Man Jacob Hamlin and how instrumental he was with the local settlers relationships with the native americans.
