See all kinds of animals. Cabela's can't touch the variety seen here.

So if you're an animal activist this may not be your thing. But if you're curious about wildlife and can appreciate the opportunity to see species you can't find anywhere else... read more

I took our two kids here (5-8) and they didn't like it at all. They give you a little handheld speaker that acts as a guide. The kids lost interest a couple of minutes into it. The guide provided a very monotone and detailed list of information for every area which would be great if you like reading an encyclopedia.... More

Lots of dead animals. I prefer Yellowstone. If you want to see animals that were harvested by a safari person this is your kind of place.

So if you're an animal activist this may not be your thing. But if you're curious about wildlife and can appreciate the opportunity to see species you can't find anywhere else than you might enjoy this. It's very large and detail-oriented with a recorded synopsis of the animals and sometimes their capture and environment. It kept my kids intrigued and... More

Great afternoon activity especially for the kids. Lots of local stuffed animals with identifying signs and situated in natural habitat presentation.

Take the self guided verbal tour. Well presented. You walk the world of the animal. Include the Hoy Insect Museum within as well.

There are so many animals here, it really is amazing. Now if you are against hunting you should not go, but otherwise I really recommend it. Make sure you get the audio guide so that you can learn about what you are seeing. You will get to go through all the different habitats from around the world where these creatures... More

Much more to this museum than meets the eye from the outside. I was amazed at how much is inside. The winding walk thru is a great design and really allows so much in exhibitions.

The staff was friendly and courteous. They give you hand held recording of each animal species and describes more about them. You can get a close up look at what the stuffed animals really look like. It is a very good learning experience especially for kids. I just loved it and took plenty of pictures.

We expected to see the usual variety of animals that a hunter would kill or that you may see on television but were really surprised by the variety that none of us had ever heard of or seen. At least a dozen different kinds of mountain sheep from Asia as well as those from North and South America. You are... More

We found the museum very interesting. It is a self-guided tour with listening devices provided. You key in the number indicated and listen to a narration of the displays. The museum isn’t very large and the whole tour will take a bit over an hour. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The displays are intriguing with many animals that... More
