Good if there is an exhibit going on

We have seen some nice exhibits here. We have enjoyed it and do consider it worth the time. If you are a Mormon, you will love it. We are not but we still had much to enjoy.

The St George Art Museum focuses primarily on artwork that is significant to the area, and is an anchor of the cultural center of the community. Its exhibitions rotate frequently enough to pique interest for return visits. Museum curator hosts monthly art conversations that sometimes embellish the hanging exhibit, sometimes spotlight topics of broader cultural nature. In recent years the... More

Very mediocre art and nothing worth noting. Seems like the place is only for the local hierarchy and their wives who dabble in art out of boredom and people who are talented are shunned and driven away. This place will never have great art as it is run by the mormon good ole boys who would not know great art... More

On Columbus Day, when the museum was supposed to be closed, one of the proprietors was extremely accommodating and allowed us to visit. The fabric hangings of intricate design featuring the theme "silver" in honor of a group's anniversary were exquisite. The basket weaving exhibits were fascinating, enhanced by videos of Native Americans describing their materials and design process. A... More

It is a small museum but fairly interesting and well organized. It is a good place to sample the flavor of local art. 150 Years of Wedding Dresses was their proud exhibit earlier this year but we did not get to see it. There is a nice western art collection. Well organized.

We regularly visit the art museum here whenever they change the exhibits. There's always something different and we love it.

Very boring. Just paintings of western stuff. Nothing to look at. They charge you to go in and look at nothing.

Doesn't sound like a great theme but the organizers must be complemented on a very interesting display

This is a great museum, each season it showcases a different area, often of local culture. The museum is not large, but is big enough that it is worth your time and assists with learning about art and the surrounding area through the works of others. You can easily get through the museum in 30 to 45 minutes, but could... More
