About
Located only a scenic five minute drive north of St. George on Bluff Street, The Ledges Golf Club offers world class golf unlike anything else offered in Southern Utah. You'll admire the natural beauty and breathtaking views of the surrounding sandstone mountains while enjoying a round of 9 or 18 holes. This facility boasts conditions that rival, and even exceed, conditions at private clubs. The experience begins in the parking lot where friendly staff will drive a cart to your car to load your clubs and deliver you to the clubhouse.

An honest assessment of the Ledges - SO NOISY IN THE MORNING!!!
Aug 2020
Our family stayed at the Ledges for two weeks in August. We stayed at the Hideaway on the 2nd great. It's a beautiful home, the bedrooms are nicely decorated, and the beds, pillows, bedding, and blankets were very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and nicely laid out. The beanbag toss, ping pong and basketball game in the garage were key as it was 115 degrees when we were there. The community pool is right next door, it’s a basic pool and has a nice shallow area for tiny humans. The workout facility is also adjacent, however you can tell the gym is a work in progress and needs at the minimum, towels and Clorox wipes - especially during a pandemic.

However, charming as this place is, it is situated on a golf course which is mowed early morning every day, starting between 5:20 and 5:35am. Because the Ledges golf course and most of the houses are in a valley surrounded by a mountain bowl, the sound reverberates horribly and we had a DAILY 5:20am wake up call thanks to the lawn mowers. Tuesdays are particularly painful and persistent as they do the elaborate green edging and such. Of the 14 days, we were jarred out of sleep at least 10 of them - not ideal for a vacation. We did buy some ear plugs and left them in the side table top drawer. About day 3 we sent word to the management company and voiced our discontent and frustration. They were empathetic but the noise continued. Midway through week two, we contacted them again. They said they thought it was a ‘one day’ issue that had resolved...and... wished we’d followed up because they would have certainly moved us to a different house. At that point, we were almost finished with our stay. They offered no further apologies, mitigation of which we are aware or accommodations to us for the daily disturbance.

It’s a lovely place, and if you are a morning person who wants to be up at 5:20am for the first tee time, this is your place. However, having also stayed nearby on the Entrada golf course, the noise level at the Ledges is WAY more than usual. If you generally don’t like the gentle hum of multiple industrial mowers in the morning, it is best pick a different location. We've tried submitting a review directly on the Ledges site, but for some reason it keeps getting lost on the internet. Sady, none of the reviews give an accurate depiction of the noise levels, especially around the 2nd hole.

Frat party
Aug 2020
People who rented the home next to our vacation rental had a very loud party , think college frat party. My family and I were looking for luxury of having a peaceful stay (reason to rent a supposed upscale private home) in a golf community.the Ledges advertises a concierge service such as in home massage and room service. We tried to use both and the massage service not available and we called room service 4 times and no one ever answered . So we showered got dressed went to the very restaurant we tried to call for room service and they had plenty of staff zero people other than our family in restaurant so why couldn’t we get someone to answer the phone for room service? Staff were not wearing masks and Kimber from the concierges emailed regarding the massage service who said that the CDC is not allowing massage in Utah . We looked that up , this is not true they indeed ARE allowed to have massage therapist provide service with guidelines. If you value peace and quiet and upscale vacation and expect the luxury you thought you paid for do not rent a vacation rental at Ledges in St George Utah, especially if you expect to sleep and have your family and want them to get sleep, it seems they allow college frat parties here. And it seems they don’t care who they rent to or what kind of services they give.

Won't be playing here again for a long LONG time
Jul 2020
The weather was perfect, the course is in great shape. Pace of play was very slow. We thought, up until the last minute, that we'd be playing alone. Now...we don't mind playing with others (including beginners) as long as they know how to play the game and play ready golf. First hole, here comes a young couple WITH their 2 ½ year old son. The guy was waiting for me to tee off, which was nice except I don't play the white tees (he wasn't aware there were any others). His wife said she was playing but only one set of clubs on the cart. He was a decent enough player but then when we got to the forward tees I hit and then waited and waited for her. "Oh" it's my turn??? She hands off boy to husband and boy then loses it. She gets to box and only then decides to do something with her hair that's hanging down and whipping in her face. So...boy screaming, her not ready and we were doubtful she'd ever really played. We politely told them we'd just be moving on along in front of them, they could do what they wanted. I don't know why the course would even allow a toddler to do a ride along. When we got to the 10th hole we were now behind a fivesome (we played through them and skipped that hole). There was nothing right about the round except the weather and the course was in excellent shape.

We're sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, The Pro Shop is unaware of each player's experience level when pairing groups together. We are happy to hear you were able to move along without them and hope you'll come to play again soon.

Awesome!

We stayed at the ledges for a week and this place has been such a great find for our family! The pool was amazing and the unit we stayed in had so much room and lots of amenities. The only suggestion would be to upgrade the seating by the pool. We had an amazing week!! Try to make the trip to the narrows. It was so cool!

Incredible scenery

Incredible scenery! Fun course in fare condition.
The cart would be locked when we were barely close to some restricted area. When that happened we were only allowed to back out. It was not easy trying to back up for us once. Got to have other choices in certain situation.

One of Utah's Best Golf Courses
Sep 2019
The Ledges is one of the best courses in Utah. The course is always very well maintained with beautiful fairways and tight greens. The setting is stunning, nestled amongst the red and white sand stone cliffs of Snow Canyon State Park. The course is challenging but not too challenging. You have plenty of opportunity to hit driver if you want but you could still play the whole course with out ever having to pull it out of your bag. There's some risk reward shots that keep it interesting. The club house is nicely appointed and the food is good. I love this course because it so relaxing.

Good atmosphere

I’ve been a member of the band club for over 6 years and have not had a bad pint yet because Vicky and her staff make you feel most welcome . There is a pool table, dart board dominoes and various card games ( crib, Welsh don etc). They also have entertainment every six weeks or so either in the upstairs concert room or down stairs in the lounge. They have a good selection of beers and lagers as well as various spirits. I would recommend the “bandy” to anyone who wants a good night out. Highly recommended.👍

WOW what a perfect course
Aug 2019
WOW, all I can say is the back nine is amazing. I got a great rate to play this course so I thought what the heck. Man am I glad I played this course. The front nine is open and a great practice for what is coming. Hit the back nine and man was it worth the practice on the front nine. The back is so pretty and the backdrop of the canyons are what makes this course. PLAY IT if you have the chance.
