Southgate is a great course for those looking for an enjoyable round of golf as opposed to a brutal test of your skills. Southgate also features a game improvement center with award-winning PGA professionals and instruction programs.A great walking course, the front nine requires accuracy to sucessfully negotiate the waterways. Eight out of the nine holes on the front nine feature either a lake or the Santa Clara River as scenic challenges to par. The back 9, slightly longer than the front nine, adds the element of risk and reward which allows the player to recover shots lost on the front nine. Southgate Golf Club is a par-70 layout which is enjoyable for all levels of ability.

This course is pretty good one to play all year. The fairways were nice, greens a little bumpy and could use some work. Price is good at this time if year, but it is hot. Early tee times a must for comfort. Complaint I had today was with one of the mowers who was mowing the fairways. We were in... More

Played this one on a Friday morning - nice little municipal course. Nothing too special, but some interesting holes and a reasonable price. Would suggest playing it as a warm-up course before playing some of the more expensive (and more challenging) courses in the area.

golfed here with some friends and had a good time. The location isn't great as the front nine border main roads most of the time. The back nine is narrow with the potential to hit lots of homes. Felt like there were a lot of par 3's as well overall well kept and fun course but not anything special.

I am a member at Entrada at Snow Canyon, played Southgate for the first time last week from the tips. Very impressed with conditioning, layout and playability. Yes you might get lost transiting over the and under bridges on the front nine but no big deal. Summer pricingis fantastic. Long and straight!

The course is beautiful and reasonable but not clearly marked at all. At least twice you leave the course and cross a Main Street. Neither time are signs posted as to where to go. You actually have to drive down the street to get to the next hole. Not a problem if there were signs to tell you this. Score... More

I hadn't played Southgate since they made the changes brought on by the Dixie interchange, and was pleasantly surprised by both the excellent conditions and the course changes. White tee's play a little short, so try the blues or go crazy and play the back tees. You will have a great time on this fun course. There is a lot... More

White Buffalo (my brother), plays a vicious hook, and the contortions that his body makes in delivering the golf club to the ball must have worried the clubhouse staff concerning his safety and/or the safety of the other golfer on the course, because after the first hole they sent out a marshal to supervise us for the remaining holes. This... More

With all the improvements with this course, it has made it a nice place to play, the course is in good condition, the staff and the pro are very nice, I really liked it last time I played there.

Best thing about this course . . . the elevation changes and the views while playing. Some very challenging holes for everyone but the most accurate golfer. Good deals available on the online tee time sites so don't just settle for the city's website for the rates. We would definitely go back to play this course if we get back... More
