Went there for my first hike. It was really great. The trail is short but steep. Went there in the early September. The best time to go is around late afternoon, catch the sunset and come back down at the twilight hours. I'm not athletic...More

I think of myself as fit, but this was fairly steep. The high altitude didn't help. I live at sea level. I did this hike with family and the children, aged 7 and up had no problems it. They gave me lots of encouragement, or...More

The views from up top are great. The actual hike is just so-so. The hike is on steep dusty switchbacks that can be difficult to navigate without slipping for the very old and young. For nostalgia and the view, I am compelled to rate it...More

This is a steep 1 mile up hike that takes about 2 hours round trip for an 8 yr old. Her grandparents are another story. Start early in the day to avoid full sun for at least the up.

I've hiked this trail a lot. It's somewhat steep, but worth the climb because of the great view you get of Utah Valley, Utah Lake and the mountains beyond, especially nice at sunrise or sunset. (Bring flashlights if you come at sunset.)

The "Y" as it is called locally, is a gigantic concrete and rubble letter constructed on the side of "Y mountain". It is whitewashed / painted white. There is a well groomed gravel and dirt trail with lots of switchbacks which leads to the top...More

Wanted to fit in this workout as a sub for typical 5-mile run while moving daughter into BYU apt. Careful on way down!! Slickery rocks on steep switchbacks, while navigating slower descenders can bring on knee pain and worse before you can correct. Views are...More

This is a very nice hike to get incredible views of the valley below. The hike is 1.1 miles to the top, so that’s 2.2 miles round trip if I did my math correctly... The path is well maintained and if you get lost, you...More

The whole thing is uphill! There are all these old people, and pregnant women, and one-legged veterans hiking up the mountain looking all fit and happy. But the truth is it kicked my butt. It was really high. I might have cried a little. But...More
