We stumbled upon this accidentally but decided to stop by. $5 lab fee and then the rest depends on the size of the soap. There are directions on what to do provided and the worker walked us through the process. Lots of mold choices, colors, options, etc. Took us just under 1 hr. There are pre-made soaps available for purchase.

It was a little hard to find but the crafts were well worth it. I made two soaps and there were so many examples and the music was nice. It was very clean and it had plenty of supplies for what mold you want for the soap. Deffidently will go back

Loved it! Me and my roommate were walking down center street when we ran into this shop. I'm so glad we stopped!

There's two options. You can pay a $5 flat fee to use all of their molds, scents, colors, textures, and paints, or there's a $2 option but they don't let you use every thing available in the shop. It's definitely worth the $5 studio fee, especially the first time. Both options have you weigh the soap that you make afterwards and pay a small fee per oz. I made two small soaps and it cost me an extra $1.50.

David, the shop owner, is great! He knows tons about the oils that you out into the soap and even spent some time describing to us the separation process to make the oils. It's a perfect activity for a date or just with friends, and is relatively inexpensive for the experience that you get. Perfect location to go grab dinner afterwards or a good dessert

I had a great time with my grandson making some soap and decorating them. It was fun, interactive and entertaining. However, the quality of the soap is very poor and my grandson was disappointed the first time he used the bar. It disintegrated into nothing on the first use.

Showed up at opening on a Thursday and they were not there. Had a sign that they would be back at 6:30. So not cool as it is suppose to be drop in, with no reservations. I drove over 30 minutes to come and they wasted my time. Probably will not wate my time coming again.

I am sorry this happened. The day you came, an employee forgot they had committed to covering someone else's shift, and we opened over an hour late. We have moved to a different scheduling process in hopes that it will eliminate this problem for the future. The "back at 6:30" sounds like our open/closed sign, with the clock hands turned to the wrong time. They should always be pointing directly upward - to 12:00 - and 6:30 would be pointing down. Whether it was purposeful or accidental (bouncing against the door) that moved them, I've asked everyone to be aware of the hour hands as they flip the sign each day. I apologize for the lost time and inconvenience we caused you. I've tried to build Soap Factory as an inviting place, and drop-ins - often traveling from out of town - are our main customers. I realize there isn't a way to make up for time and planning, but I'd love to extend free lab fees to you and your party if you'll give Soap Factory another chance.

Adorable little shop to make your own soap. They have such a variety of options for shapes, scents and colors including paints. Last time I went it was a little too hot upstairs, but overall the experience was fun.

Fun visit and something different to do. Took 4 kids ranging from 4 years old to 9 and did medium sized soaps. Cost about $35 for sitting fee and soap price (I left a tip, but afterwards thought...why?). It's in a quaint location and could be cute inside. But, the furniture is cheap and flimsy, and layout is arranged terribly (I'm an interior designer...so maybe it's not that noticeable). Table corners are right into the chair of the next table, paint stations that everyone needs to use are located directly behind the table we were working at (I don't know why either..
There is plenty of room to make it work more efficiently). It might not be so bad if we were sitting the entire time...but we are constantly getting up and choosing more paint colors. Felt like we were in the way.

The sink (used frequently to wash hands, wash out paint brushes, etc) were far from the working area and the sink was repeatedly full of water with mats soaking in them...which made it awkward for customers to have access to it. They definitely need their own sink in the back...out of sight. Also, there were no paper towels anywhere! At the sink or in the bathroom. No way to dry your hands...which isn't a good thing when you're working with soap. I asked the gentleman working there for some paper towels for the bathroom and he said "we don't have any...you'll just have to drip dry".

Some of those thing can be easily fixed...some can't. But, overall a fun experience.

We're glad that you and your party had a good time at The Soap Factory! You're right that we don't have paper towels. We care deeply about the environment here at The Soap Factory and are constantly looking for ways to improve. We use only all-natural, sustainable ingredients, we've minimized our electricity consumption, and then earlier this year we made the huge jump to being zero waste. Being a zero-waste facility means we do not have a garbage can. To make that a reality, we've eliminated anything in our store or process that would be put in a landfill by customers or employees. Our signage explaining our zero-waste philosophy hasn't arrived yet, and it can sometimes be difficult to communicate that clearly when it's busy. I'm not an interior designer. I'm actually autistic, and interior design is something I'm always afraid I don't do well. We've had multiple designers through our space, and you're the first who has felt strongly about potential improvements - so that's exciting for me. Please reach back out to us with some more specifics. My expertise is in process design. We're constantly inventing the process for Soap Factory, and this location (with three total sinks) is definitely better than our last location. We have a sink in the back that is dedicated to cooling soap, and two available to the public - one solely for customers for hand washing and one that is multipurpose for customers and employees to clean tools and hands. That way, except for a few seconds when we're taking soap back and forth, we are always available to customers if they need help or assistance. I'd be happy to move the painting station if you have thoughts on where to put it or how to better organize tables. We get enormous crowds each day, and our current setup was measured out based on needed seating, average group size, and total space. I'll also make sure to check the chairs at your table - we sometimes have rowdy groups, and if kids have been jumping on chairs the sockets may need to be tightened so they feel more secure. If you have suggestions of how we can make changes to our space, I'd love your feedback. Thanks again for coming in, and we hope to see you again!

We found this place on Trip Advisor so we checked it out. It was fun making our own soap. We went on a Saturday, and it was VERY busy. The staff were helpful but spread thin with so many people there.

My son and I stopped in to make 3 medium soaps. The cost with all the fees came to $22.
Mitchell, the employee on duty was very nice and helpful. He was able to take care of multiple customers all at one time.

Fun to create, color and paint.

You can also make scrubs, lotions and lip balms.

The idea is a cool one. They could definitely lower the price for the experience. It was a fun but probably wont go back because of the price range. They lines tend to bottle neck from station to station. My wife and I waited for like 7 minutes to choose an essential oil to use on our soap. The floor layout is a little weird. I feel if they found a new location that was more open and had cool music going on that it would be like a place to go hangout at. I felt that I wanted to get out a soon as our soap was finished because it had a old feel to it.
