Great Museum

I was surprised at how good this museum was. It was interesting on many levels. I'm glad I stopped by. I spent a lot more time there than I intended.

Beautiful art collection. The exhibits change from time to time, so there's always something new. Well worth the time to visit and it's free. Great family activity.

Google maps took us right on campus, past a booth where the attendant told us where we could park our vehicle in the museum lot. Being there in the summer was great! Easy parking, uncrowded museum, plenty of room to eat wholesome food upstairs with a nice view. We learned about the Western National Parks and the settlement of the... More

This is a great place to bring your family or a date. We have been here about 5 times and each time they have new exhibits.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in the cafe with a friend and then toured all the exhibits. Most excited by finding one painting by a relative.

Whenever I have gone to this particular Museum it is an absolute pain to try and find a place to park due to the fact that you can no longer go all the way around BYU campus because they have closed the roads off at all the major intersections it is not very wheelchair accessible there is a lack of... They have both permanent and traveling exhibits, a cafe, and a gift shop. They also have Open Studio some Saturdays, when you can bring your family to create works of art pertaining to the artwork on display.

This free museum offers marvelous exhibits on "Capturing the Canyons: Artists in the National Parks" and "branding the American West: Paintings and Films, 1900-1950." Well worth visiting the institution which is on a par with, or exceeds in quality of facilities and exhibits, other non-university museums.
