About Wasatch Photo Tours - Tours and Lessons
If you'll be visiting the Park City Utah area or live in this area then we hope you'll consider joining award winning, internationally recognized landscape and wildlife photographer David C Schultz, and Wasatch Mountain local on a private 1/2 or full day private photo tour with lessons. You'll explore the back-roads and trails in the Wasatch or Uinta Mountains and the Heber Valley in search of the perfect location and conditions for capturing memorable images of your visit. All lessons are geared towards exactly what skills you wish to improve, this includes cell phones to pro gear. Post-processing including Photoshop and Lightroom lessons are also available. Tours begin and end in nearby Heber City which is about a 20 minute drive from Park City. Since these are private lessons/tours the start time can be adjusted but it is best to start out for sunrise photo opportunities. Please check out the website for more information along with additional images.

My husband and I spent a lovely morning with David taking photos in the Heber Valley. We highly recommend working with David. He is very knowledgeable and a skilled guide. We found ourselves in locations we would have never found on our own....high above the valley amid the aspens, pine and oak trees.

Thank you Terry and Terry for taking the time to post your review and photos. Thanks also for spending some time searching around the mountains for my phone! I always enjoy sharing the "secret" locations and hopefully you both managed to capture some wonderful photos during our time together. Hope to see you both again!

I met David early in the am and we had a great winter morning out in the snow and sun. He took me to beautiful open spaces! I got great shots of landscapes, horses, and learned some new techniques with my camera! David is a wealth of knowledge and very patient. What a delight!

Hi Anne! Sorry for the delayed response to your much appreciated review. Very happy to hear you enjoyed your time exploring the Heber Valley here in the Wasatch Mountains and were able to pick up a few pointers about your camera. Hope to see you again, perhaps when it's warmer! Take care, David

What a great trip! The small group- myself and one other photographer, plus David who runs the trip and the driver, made the trip. Basically we could stop and photograph wherever we wanted and for as long as we wanted. As a photographer there is nothing better than a small trip. And the vehicle was amazing- very easy to get in and out of, and held all of our gear. But most important David, and Ed our driver, have an amazing knowledge of the area. David is always helpful and both went out of their way to make it a great trip

Thanks for taking the time to leave this review and for joining me on the photo excursion! Yellowstone in the winter can be a tough one with the weather and with getting the critters to cooperate so being flexible with a small group and vehicle makes a big difference as you saw. Had a great time with you both and I'm looking forward to the next time we connect! Happy shooting!

3 years ago, my children gave me a wonderful birthday gift: a lesson with a professional photographer. Finally, this summer, I cashed it in! I am amateur photographer who has been trying to take my photo skills to the next level, but have been struggling to do so. A half-day lesson with David, focused mostly on my camera and how to better use it, has set me on that path! David is patient and fun to be with. He knows the area around Park City and Heber really well, so he can find the most beautiful spots give the time and day. And he even knows where to find wifi, when you are out of range! He followed up the lesson with helpful emails with resources to keep me moving on my path to better photography, and is extremely responsive to any questions I have regarding my camera, photography or post-processing tips. I wouldn’t hesitate to take another lesson with him, and you shouldn’t either!

I had been using my Nikon on automatic for years. David gave me a glimpse into finding out more about this fabulous camera - why do your own settings, how to compose a photo...and he was so patient with our different levels of expertise, making us all feel welcome and important.

Glad to hear we got you past the "auto everything" mode on your camera! The wildflowers are pretty spectacular up in the mountains still. Hope you'll post a shot or two of what you captured. Take care!
