About
Historic Park City is the gem among riches. Nestled in the valley flanked by Park City Mountain Resort on one side, and Deer Valley on the other, it is the heart and soul of our mountain town and the epicenter of all that is fun and wild. Historic Park City’s has a rich and storied past: it began as a raucous silver town, nearly faded into history as a ghost town, and then re-invented itself as a ski town that grew into a world-class destination and host to global events such as the 2002 Winter Olympics and the Sundance Film Festival. At the center of Historic Park City is Main Street--home to over 200 unique businesses. Visitors can shop among at independent boutiques, dine at one-of-a-kind restaurants, relax at a restorative spa, ride the town lift to play in the mountains, stay in style within a short walk of everything, revel in our spirited nightlife, discover something to treasure from our lively art community, and connect with loved ones with memorable experiences.

There’s a lot to like in downtown Park City- shops, food, chair lift, bars and galleries. We were stayed 2 nights and found the area to be very walkable, safe and clean. Silly Sunday closes Main Street to traffic for vendors or sell art, jewelry, food and much more. Overall vibe is laidback and was not overly crowded for a summer weekend.

Staying in Midway, we heard a lot about Main St in Park City. Bars, restaurants, boutiques & more. The Famous Egyptian theater is there so make sure to get a picture. My highlight is a framed Banksy on the side of a building. We unfortunately did not eat on Main st. We grabbed a bite at nearby Fuego which I highly recommend but grab ice cream, regardless of the weather, at Rocky Mountain! It’s beautiful at night there so make sure to visit Main St day and night. We were there on a busy Friday night but easily found parking.

We visited during Covid-time, so didn't get the whole experience. We enjoyed it, however. There are lots of shops and restaurants, including some unique ones. After hopping into several shops while strolling the street (all in masks), we had breakfast for lunch at the Bridge Cafe and Grill, sitting outside. My wife would love to come back, after Covid, and spend a whole day strolling the street and going into the many, many shops.

Lots of restaurants and shops. Very nicely lit up as well. Fun place for dinner after skiing. Most hotel shuttles and the Town lift from Park city resort take you to Main Street.

We enjoyed walking and looking in the shops on Main but we had a difficult time finding available parking. As 6 senior citizens, we do not do well walking long distances up and down inclines. We finally found a parking deck that had spaces remaining. The town is very charming with some interesting shops and LOTS of restaurants. Be sure and check reviews of the restaurants before you go. Flanagans was a big disappointment but The Eatery was quite good.

The downtown is a great area to spend an evening or afternoon perusing.

Restaurants were delish and galleries/shops enjoyable.

Summit County has a mask requirement during our visit so we felt very safe.

On Sunday’s, they make the street pedestrian only and it made the experience much better! I hope for small business sake this is considered to accommodate heated/outdoor seating!

Fun little adventure to check out the snow globes with the kids over Christmas break. It was cold so dress warm and wear good walking shoes as they are spread out up and down Main Street. The kids had a good time. The globes sounded a little more magical on their website, map included, but not as impressive as described.

Park City's main street still has all the charm that it ever did, perhaps more. We loved walking the shops, seeing some of the old historic buildings and having lunch along the way. Having seen this town as a child (many years ago), I am so happy to see how much still remains.

If you visit Park City, you must walk down historic Main Street. It is perfectly charming with great shopping and restaurants. Walking down Main Street you can just imagine pioneers and cowboys. Today there are many restaurants, shopping and coffee shops. We were a bit disappointed not to find the perfect place for dessert but we found many other charming shops mixed in with standard outdoor clothing stores.
