Great experience for foodies. Chris covered an hour of Park City history followed by 2 hours of tasting at local hot spots. The restaurants were excellent. Chris made it very comfortable in both visiting the restaurants and with the other tour attendees. I would highly recommend it!

My wife and I really enjoyed our afternoon with Chris touring the culinary delights of Park City.

We started at the excellent Park City Museum which gives perfect context for the history and culture of town. We sampled great food at three different eateries which gave us an excellent idea of what’s possible in town.

Chris also knows the location and backstory of all the hidden street art painted by the world-famous artist Banksy.

Chris’s Gourmand Tour is definitely worth your time and a great way to get to know Park City.

Really fun afternoon with Chris. The history part of the tour was great - this was our third time in Park City and it was nice to have some historical context. Park City restaurants are wonderful so much good food in such a small place. We got to try restaurants we would never have tried on our own and even had food in a restaurant I hadn’t been able to get a reservation for! Bonus!

Thanks so much! I love sharing our amazing Park City Museum and history of silver mining and skiing with guests. I am glad I was able to get you into a restaurant you wanted to try out.

While Chris is a very nice and friendly person, the tour itself was pretty much a disaster. We spent a half hour or so in the Park City Museum (which on its own is a very nice little museum) and then out into the street where we walked up and down the street, crossed it, backtracked, then walked back up and down the same stretch of road. There did not seem to be any logic, rhyme or reason to anything. For having done the tour for ten years, Chris’ narrative on the history of Park City was disjointed and erratic, with the local history facts thrown over her shoulder as we trudged up and down the street. For the food part, we went to three different restaurants and ate “family style”, where we got a taste or a spoonful or “one” of various appetizers and everything contained wontons. Our “entree’” was three or four dishes that 12 people shared, each getting a spoonful or so of each one. DEFINITELY not worth the per person price and DEFINITELY would not recommend.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I am sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. It was the first tour since Covid and many of the restaurants on Main Street were closed so the timing and locations were tricky. I do have 100% customer satisfaction guarantee so I have gone ahead and issued a full refund for both of you. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip.

We were so excited to begin our time in Park City with the Gourmand Tour however, this turned out to be a very disappointing experience. I had read great things about Chris and the food on the tour however, Chris did not show up for our tour. The tour began with time spent at the Park City Museum which gave us some interesting history of the town--time well spent. Then we walked to the very farthest restaurant for a salad and pizza and ice cream. Very nice but less than spectacular. Next, we walked back up the street to Wahso where we were met by what turned out to be the tour leader's date (they were both very pleasant and fun). The tour leader and her date were given different food (lettuce wraps with duck) than we were given (small Asian bun with pork belly). I asked to change to their food and was initially told 'No" but later they acquiesced and switched my plate. At the last stop the food was terrible tasting brie, French fries and beets. The French fries were the best thing and those were mostly eaten by the leader and her date. At the end she said she could order another plate of fries but at this point we were more than ready to get out of there. We had 5 people and paid 75 dollars a person for this "feast" Quite a disappointment and certainly not gourmand. We felt we had footed the bill for this gal and her date. We did order some nice wines along the way but keep in mind the drinks are on you. We were traveling with family so it was fun anyway but the Gourmand Tour did not live up to expectation.

I am so sorry that your experience was not excellent. As a small business owner this is important information to know so I can improve. I run most of the tours but I have had some personal problems that prevented me from being there that day so I had another guide lead the tour. I would like to make it up to you by giving you a refund. I hope the rest of your trip to Park City was wonderful! Best regards, Chris

Can't believe we have been to Park City so many times and missed this jewel of a tour. Chris, the owner of Gourmand, is absolutely amazing. She loves showing off her city and is very knowledgable and made us want to know even more about this beautiful city. I love a tour guide that when you meet them you want he or she to be your new best friend. Well, that is Chris! The restaurants she choose to take us to were all outstanding. The museum is also a must see. I think it would be awesome without Chris as a tour guide but she certainly made the history come alive. We will revisit all of the restaurants and the museum again! Thank you Chris for an outstanding afternoon and introducing us to some hidden jewels of your great city.
Hint: Don't eat before you go. The Restaurant tour is a full meal...

A Food Tour in Park City with Chris is a must do. This walking tour covers the highlights of the history and places to eat while in this unique mountain town. First we visited the Park City Museum and learned the history of this old mining town which is now known the world over because of the 2002 Olympics. It was very interesting especially because Chris knows the details and can answer your questions. After a tour of the Museum, we visited several restaurants and sampled their specialties. The one that stands out most on our specific tour was the Café Terigo; I will return for the salmon. Chris goes out of her way to make sure everyone is able to sample something they like. Also, effort is made for everyone to be involved and part of the group. Thanks to Chris for a fabulous tour.

This was our first food tour so we were a bit apprehensive. However, within a few minutes of meeting w/Chris, our tour guide, all apprehension ceased. Chris is passionate about Park City, & about providing her guests with the most enjoyable evening possible. Our tour began at the Park City Museum where we learned about the interesting history of PC & about how recently it was virtually a ghost town. From there we hopped on the trolley where Chris continued her history lesson of the city. Our first food stop was at Yuki Yama where we were treated to sushi, which we passed on- no force-feeding on the tour, lamb chops, pork ribs, & we got miso soup to make up for not eating sushi. Everything was absolutely wonderful. From there, after a short walk, we stopped at Vinto, an Italian restaurant. Our first dish was a delicious salad w/more veggies than we could name, a slice of pizza that was not like anything we had ever eaten before, but was good, & a dish of lemon cream gelato that was awesome. After another trolley ride we ended up @ Blue Iguana where we got seats outside on a lovely warm evening. Here, we were given a choice of 3 different tacos to go along w/our chips & salsa bar. By this time in the evening we were all well-acquainted & the conversation was lively & exceedingly enjoyable. At each restaurant alcoholic beverages were available for a separate fee that was handled efficiently. Our initial apprehension was based on wondering if we would be faced w/foods that we wouldn't like. That was never an issue because Chris goes out of her way to make certain that no one is forced into a situation of eating something that they don't want/can't eat. The comfort of all of her guests is of primary concern for Chris. That is indicative of just why this food tour is rated so highly by those who take it. Thank you, Chris. We had a wonderful experience.

My wife and I took this tour together, and left the 18 & 20 yo at the condo. We later wished we hadn't, as there were other adult age children with us who clearly enjoyed it as much as we did.

We're not foodies really, and this was our first tour where we were provided enough food to be considered dinner (our prior food tours were more walking and less eating). Park City is very small though, and so there is actually only so much to tour. But this is more than made up for by the quality and quantity of food, and by Chris's wonderful personality.

The tour starts at the museum, and included admission and an overview of the town's history. I didn't realize this was to be included, and really enjoyed it. If I had one suggestion for Chris, it would be to see if the museum owners might include a return visit ticket, as I like to really immerse myself in this kind of stuff, and could have easily spent another hour or two there.

There were a total of four or five stops, and one of them included drinks (purchased drinks were available at every stop, but the first stop they were included). Non alcoholic alternatives were available of course, bit I appreciated the recognition that civilized dining can, and often does, include adult beverages.

A bit of history was provided as we walked about, and we were shown both surviving Banksy's (ask your teenagers), including the one not on the main thoroughfare.

I'll let the foodies discuss the food, but it was all excellent, and no one was going to leave hungry. The night ended with arguably the best ginger cookie you'll ever try.

An excellent break from the slopes, hosted by a gregarious and generous lady, who was obviously in love with both her job and her town.

I had the best experience with Gourmand Tours when I visited Park City, Main Street last month. Gourmand Tours was definitely the best way for me (a true foodie who prefers guided tours opposed to wandering alone) to see main street, learn about its history, AND get tastes of some of the best restaurants on Main Street. One of my favorite things about visiting different cities is getting my hands on the best food from the best restaurants in town. Plus I'm a huge fan of food tours after experiencing the Savor Seattle food tour a while back. So Gourmand Tours did not let me down! It made for a memorable evening on Main Street during my stay in Park City where I discovered a plethora of great eats.

I thought the tour was the perfect amount of history, food, and good company. I learned so much about Park City that I wouldn't otherwise have from seeing Main Street on my own, and I left the tour feeling full and satisfied. Plus, our tour guide was so friendly and told great stories!

I'm glad I heard about Gourmand Tours because I wouldn't have been able to dine at every restaurant that the tour featured, during my stay. On my last night in Park City, I went back to one of the restaurants on the tour because I was so excited about the taster they provided as well as some of their items on the menu after hearing the owner talk about their menu. I was not disappointed! Now I have a list of fabulous restaurants that I'm going to visit right away when I return to Park City.
