Guardsman pass is a great area to check out. Lot's of snow capped mountains left in June, and a great 1 hour round trip hike to the top of tri county peak from there (just over 10,000 feet at the summit, and a STELLAR view on a clear day).

Nothing much to add to the previous reviews. It's beautiful scenery in a remote spot that is paved. Don't get that combo very often. Good place to drive just for the view, or a starting point for a hike/bike adventure.

Scenery spectacular especially along Scott's Bypass and Wasatch Crest Trail and it is well marked so no stress. However, do not go on a weekend as there are several hundred mountain bikers who do not know or care that hikers have the right of way. They come fast and plenty. My husband was knocked into by one of them. They... More

My wife and I drove the pass twice during our stay in PC. Hiked 5 or 6 miles each time. Great views, perfect weather. Definitely worth your time.

Worth the drive up to the pass. Stunning views. Also some nice hiking trails for those wanting to see more.

We have wanted go thru Guardsman Pass for years but it is closed in winter. We did it on a beautiful Sunday afternoon when it seemed liked hundreds of others had the same idea. The sides of road were packed with parked cars (where possible). Lots of hikers and mountain bikers out. The view was stunning

Okay, I am DEATHLY afraid of heights, and I scoured the internet to see if I could face this drive from Park City to Solitude. I did it, but BOY was this scary for me! Narrow road, switchbacks, extreme drop-offs and NO guardrails. However, the drive was stunningly beautiful. On the entire journey, I probably pulled over six different times... More

Very beautiful drive. Need to watch for people on bikes and hikers, so watch your speed. Very short drive and a must see.

The roads are good, the signage is good, and the views are simply incredible!!! Take time to tour one of the side roads and check out the awesome houses nestled on the side of the mountain. Quite the treasures! Summer is a great time to visit as you have no worries about road closures. Be prepared to equalize your ear... More

This is a beautiful road from Deer Valley to Heber...but don't take it if you have any fear of heights! It is very narrow in spots and one side is a steep plunge down the mountains.
