Peaceful, ecological and interesting.

We went to the Swaner Preserve to learn more about the area and were treated to a wonderful photography exhibit.

So a Perserve located where it is in Park City seemed a little odd but after going it was a nice little place to visit. The kids had fun went on a short little walk into the wetland. We got a brochure to go over while on the walk, wished it had a little more information about the area but... More

Swaner does an owl prowl where an owl expert, Dr.Dave Oleyar, came to explain all about owls. He brought Artemis, a western screech owl, for show. Dave was incredibly knowledge and funny. After the interactive discussion we took a short drive to the foothills where Dave would play owl calls to lure owls closer to us or at least we... More

Did not know what to expect. Found the center wonderfully informative and interactive and the staff excited to tell you about their purpose. Kudos to the Swaner family.

Was getting a few geocaches in the area and didn't really know about this place. But the views of the open expanses are lovely.

I went here on a day the EcoCenter was closed, but that didn't stop me from taking a walk on the paved path and extending my walk under Highway 80 and up the hill on the north side. My husband and I were primarily bird watching and we were not disappointed. There were nesting swallows on the fence, a pair... More

Mountains beside reserve view. Beautifull. Quiet. Love this place. I will return. Birds in summer, but few in winter.

In winter, this is a great location for some quiet time in the center of a very busy resort area! You can park in Red Stone and access the trail from many spots along the outskirts of the development. The trail is snow covered in winter and groomed daily. From Red Stone, heading toward Park City, the trail leads along... More

This is a great place for a hike or a snowshoe. The EcoCenter is a great source of information about this preserve. They even rent snowshoes! A great day activity if you're looking for a day off from skiing.

We lived along this Preserve for three years and it's in my dreams and memories and I long to go back. I review hotels and remember the best and the worst, same with restaurants but this sticks with me day by day. Five feet away. We heard the eocene era calls of the Greater Sandhill Cranes that mate for life... More
