My girlfriend and I had Travis as a guide. Such a kind and personable person, tons of patience, just a great guy/guide. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking to learn how to fly fish. Travis, my fish was bigger.

I would recommend Wilderness Trout Expeditions all day long!!! They were outstanding to work with. Robert was great booking the trip and answering all my questions. Travis (the guide) was absolutely amazing and my 16 year old son caught (and released) 15 trout (Rainbow and Brown). In my son's words, "Best Day Ever!" Thank you Robert and Travis for a day he will always remember!

Purchased a gift certificate for my husband and 5 friends to spend a half day fly fishing on the Provo River. BEST GIFT EVER! The 3 guides were knowledgeable, helpful, and fun without over managing the fishing. Everyone had a great time and we can't wait to do it again!

I've been on a few guide services in the past and usually have a great time, we may have gone on a bad day but seems there were little to no fish biting. Between the two of us there was only 1 fish caught, and left with uncertainty on how to set a hook with the fly fishing technique used. Guide was plenty nice, but I think the website setup higher expectations that I experienced. I wish I had known beforehand that the fishing isn't good in the late summer/early fall time period before opting into the service. As a novice and someone new to fly fishing, this may be a great option for more experienced fishermen. The other guide services tended to offer a money-back guarantee for those fishers who didn't catch anything, or at least offer time until all participants caught something but neither happened with them. Again, pleasant company and was comfortable with the guide but had very high expectations that I hope can be met in the future. Wish them the best!

Thank you for your feedback. We do everything we can to set up successful guide trips, but we don't have full control of the situation - it is called "fishing" and not "catching" for a reason! Late summer/early fall can be a great time to fish, but just like the rest of the year, we can't predict the good days from the slow. On slow days, setting a hook can be challenging, even for experienced fisherman. I am familiar with one guide service out of many in the area that offers a "no fish, no pay" policy. The other guide services and I disagree with this policy because the guides work even harder on slow days. We hope you will give our beautiful rivers another try!

Taught myself to fly fish 3 years ago. Wife bought me an excursion to help me learn what I'm doing wrong Man! I learned SO much and my guide Morgan N. was AMAZING. Pulled in so many fish and he taught me so much. Such a great experience I would HIGHLY recommend!
