Really enjoyed our time snowmachining with Park City Peaks! The views were fantastic and our guide (Paul), was great! Paul regularly stopped to make sure the group was all together and made sure we were all operating our machines safely. We really enjoyed the trip, the experience, and the views! Our only negative comment / word of caution is that Park City Peaks is about 45min from Park City and Ubers/Lyfts WILL NOT come back for you. It’s a $150 round trip cab ride for a $100 one way cab ride, so honestly may be cheaper to just rent a car for the day. The front desk was very helpful in getting us a taxi after we arrived so we weren’t stranded and actually didn’t have to wait at all after our tour.

This was our first time on snowmobiles. Beaver was our guide and was excellent. He made sure everyone in our group was safe and comfortable riding all the while assuring we were enjoying the experience. Definitely would book another trip with this company.

Terrific time on the 2hour guided snowmobile tour! This company provided us with an efficient online booking process, decent price, organized checkin with provided helmets, and spectacular mountain views on our route. It delivered exactly as promised. Our guide Paul gave us a safe informative tour and did a nice job leading our group of 8 snowmobiles. This property is huge and we took a trail out to a large meadow where we were able to race around at higher speeds and still keep safe. We then climbed to over 9000’ on a groomed trail through Aspen trees and enjoyed more scenery and took some pictures where Paul is also happy to help. After a short break we again descended on a different route which completed our 2hours of ride time. I highly recommend this snowmobile company. I also highly recommend BEAR transportation to get there and back if you do not have a car. Uber may take you out there but you will have a certain problem getting back since there is no cell service and Uber does not want to provide those return trips. Amazing final day for us in Park City.

Terrible! Do NOT trust this company. They do not have integrity. Our family of 6 with a 5 year old and special needs child, 2 teenagers, were excited for this adventure. The day of the tour we were hit with a huge snowstorm of 10 inches. We called several times before we left because we were concerned with the travel, and were assured the 45 minute trip (not few minutes as advertised) from Park City would be safe travels. However, 25 minutes into the trip we had to turn around because the roads were not safe and impassible. We were lucky to get back to our hotel. We expected good customer service and at least a partial refund of $1,250.00 (plus tip) payment. We were told essentially “tough luck” nothing would be refunded including a tip for nothing. This is bad faith, bad customer service, and detrimental reliance. Save your time, good will, and money and try some other place.

Hi Brian, We are sorry about the frustrations you had with the weather and customer service. However, your frustrations are somewhat misplaced. You booked and paid for your reservation through a 3rd Party booking company which left us entirely out of the loop. They were the ones that treated you so poorly and we are sorry they did. We didn't even know about this until seeing your review. We would have been glad to work with you to make things right and we still can of course. And, we would love for you to actually have the amazing experience of snowmobiling with us. Just be sure to book with us directly next time. Kind regards

My GF and I booked a PC trip in February after 2 months of mild Texas winter weather. We wanted a snow getaway. Well we got what we wanted as the very second we drove to PC from SLC it started snowing. We had a Friday morning snowmobile excursion booked as I read earlier reviews about this place on Trip Advisor.
Let me just say it did not disappoint. We took their suggestion and booked Bear Transportation out there from PC. Even our driver was giving us pointers about what to do and what not to do on our machine. I was a little nervous at first as this was my first time on one of those machines, but our guide, Chris, was so helpful and experienced we had no issues whatsoever. It was a total blast! And even though we got our wish for heavy snow as we basically drive our machine through a blizzard we still loved it.
Our guide was really patient waiting for stragglers at the back and took breaks for us to take in the landscape and take photos. In fact he would get off his machine and walk back to the group and take photos with our phones. Customer service all the way!
Only setback was we didn’t get paired up I. The right group as I booked a 3 hour trip but apparently we got in the “2 hour group”. I was confused when we came back after 2 hours but to tell you the truth, 2 hours was plenty of fun.
They made good on the confusion and credited back my 3rd hour and even didn’t charge me for our goggles. Oh - if you have ski goggles, bring them. We had to buy goggles which we weren’t aware of, but like I said they didn’t charge us for them in the end.
I will definitely come back to PC and Park City Peaks at Thousand Peaks Ranch will be a priority.

Living in Utah & loving adventure ofcourse we had to take our boys snowmobiling. So I planned our winter family getaway snowmobiling with park city peaks, I was so happy when I woke up the morning of to see that we had clear skies and warm weather ☀️ ❄️ . Our guide was fantastic. He took his time to ensure that our family got enough breaks, found us the best photo spots and took us on a ride through a magical winter wonderland. It was an experience that our family will never forget.

The ranch is not far from Park City and is easy to find. You’ll pass ranches and beautiful views on your way. The check-in process was smooth. My wife and I shared a snowmobile on a 2-hour tour. If you’re unsure about riding your own, sharing is great and the seat is very comfortable. We were also able to switch drivers. If they let you reserve a specific guide, choose Kenny. He has a great personality and offered various tips throughout your tour. He took plenty of photos for our entire group without anyone even asking. He shared some interesting stories, too. During our tour, he let us mess around in open fields of deep powder in addition to taking us through the woods and up to a high peak with sweeping views in each direction. And to top it off, when you get out of your car, you’re greeted by the resident dog who drops a frisbee at your feet. Don’t you dare say no! Highly recommend this company.

We have used Thousand Peaks Snowmobiling for the past two years and have had two totally different experiences. The first time was a 35 degree sunny day for the two hour tour, great guide and amazing trails. The view seen from the highest point was simply breathtaking! The second time was during a light snow around 20 degrees for a three hour tour including a lunch stop at their mid mountain cabin! Chris was a remarkable guide and my family rode a three person machine both times as we have a 10 year old. The trail and winter beauty was incredible. I recommend to any family that wants to take a break from the slopes to see Utah in another way!

Our family was on vacation and had been skiing 9 days. At a friend's suggestion we decided to take a break from skiing and try snowmobiling. It was a little bit of a hustle to get out of Salt Lake, but the drive is scenic and not bad at all. When we arrived, Trish at the front counter was fantastic. Normally registrations and set up are tedious - not here. Trish made the process painless and quick. Forms were signed and our families were geared up in less than ten minutes! (They provide everything you need, including helmets, gloves, jackets/pants, and boots!). After gearing up, a fleet of snowmobiles were already gassed up and ready to go. Our tour guide Ian was great, he made sure to teach us how to safely operate the snowmobiles. Despite not being able to understand his New Zealand accent, he was kind of humorous. It was pretty cold out that day but thankfully everyone stayed warm and we had a great adventure. The "Super Bowl" at the top of the mountain was awesome and we had time to free ride and really open up the snowmobiles.
We would highly recommend Thousand Peaks!

Snowmobiling was a “bucket list” item & did not disappoint! This was an awesome activity to give us a break from skiing and shopping. Our guide was DJ, & he did an excellent job giving us the ins and outs of the ranch, area, and interesting facts in general. Thousand Peaks Snowmobiling did an overall fantastic job providing an affordable, professional, and easy to work with adventure. Thanks & we’ll be back if we’re ever in Park City.

I was looking at possibilities for the end of February. I was wondering where to find prices? When you click the website it doesn't work.

For beginners, are the single or double snowmobiles easier to handle?

No problem for beginners to go single. Not difficult and very comfortable with heated handles grips. There were 24 of us on 20 snowmobiles. Great fun. If you are nervous ask to be up front.

Hello, we are planning to do the snowmobile ride in January. What is the minimum age foe passenger? We have a 10 and 7 years and plan to have them ride in the back.
Hi,
One needs to be age 5 to be a passenger. They will have a blast!
Thanks

Hi, I want to book a snowmobile adventure for my husbands bday on Jan 19. We will have our 15 year old who will ride a passenger. My daughter and I plan to ski in the AM, then we will drive to your ranch for our afternoon adventure. Can you tell me the difference between the 2 and 3 hour tour? Not sure how comfortable our 15 year will be as a backseat passenger. . . But I want to make sure we get to ride at higher altitudes to maximize views. Advice?

Hello, my fiancé and I are coming in a few weeks for the 3 hr tour. How are the snow levels for that route? Also, we both have never been on a snowmobile, however I have a lot of experience with riding quads and dirt bikes when I was younger. Will the 3-hr be ok for our level of riding?
Thank You!

Hi, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, at our elevation we have lots of snow that time of year. The 3hr trip is adventurous as it gets you up into the huge bowls at 11,000ft but we do take beginners on it. You will be fine.
Hope this helps,
Thousand Peaks

I have a fear of heights. I am just wondering if there are places where you are high on a mountain and near the edge at all.

We just went on the 2 hr tour. There are a couple of descents that may make you a bit nervous. It’s not super high and you aren’t too close to the ledges....
I bet they’d work with you on a route that makes you comfortable. Certainly worth a try. It was so much fun!

Good morning! We are planning a trip to Utah at the end of this month. We would love to snowmobile while there. Do you have snow on the ground now?
Thanks!

Hi Jody,
Thanks for your inquiry. Yes we have some snow now. We are looking to open for Thanksgiving if Mother Nature cooperates.
Thanks, Thousand Peaks

Hi, I also have 9 and 12 year old kids...did you go on the 2 or 3hour tour? I'm wondering if the 3 hour is too much for the kids?
Jamesb68
Salt Lake City
Hi Allison,
We concur with your fellow travelers. The 3hr is more of a high adventure trip with more off-trail riding up at 11,000ft. Unless the kids are seasoned passengers, the 2hr would be a better fit.
It still gets you up over 9,000ft to the log cabin lookout with amazing views and lots of free-riding in the valley. Thanks

Hi, We're coming in over President's week and my daughter broke her arm so we're looking for some non-skiing activities to do with her (age 11). Think this is feasible? She has one short arm cast and (Ok, she broke both arms) a splint on the other side. Thanks
Jamesb68
Salt Lake City
Poor girl. As a passenger she would have to grip the handles and be able to lean. As long as her doctor has not given her any grip or weight bearing restrictions through her arms she would probably do ok. Hope this helps. Management
