Discover Park City's history at the Park City Museum on Historic Main...

Discover Park City's history at the Park City Museum on Historic Main Street. Prospectors discovered silver in 1868 in the area that soon after became Park City. Mine owners made fortunes, while thousands of miners simply made a living. After silver prices declined, Park City reinvented itself as a ski resort town. Interactive displays tell the Park City story in an engaging manner. Fun for the whole family! Open 7 days a week (Mon-Sat 10-7, Sun 12-6).

Great little museum

The museum provides a fascinating history of Park City. There is a interesting video to start, and three floors of exhibits, some hands on.

You start with sitting in a "train caboose" and seeing a video, a unique start. Quite a bit of mining equipment through out, amazing how good a condition they were in for having been used in a challenging business. The basement jail was original and confining ( no pun) .. Main floor, a nice mix of history of Park City,... More

Our son took us to this museum. We had such a wonderful time here. It is an interactive museum. So much history to learn here, from mining to skiing and everything in between. Loved the territorial jail in the basement. Kids and adults would like this place. $10/adult.

I'm pretty sure everyone but very small children would enjoy this. It kept us entertained with lots of facts and figures, interactive exhibits, and videos.

We stopped mostly for the travel info, and the two women at the desk were very helpful! We were in town during the shoulder season and they advised us that the last weeks of April, first weeks of May were "mud season" when many activities, and some restaurants are closed or on very limited schedules. So call places before you... More

The museum is a must go I am constantly telling local friends to go because our visitors love it. I loved it, we have a awesome town because of past times, and sometime's because we didn't have such a great place in the past. I give this five stars plus! The folks that run it are amazing, very into the... More
