It is hard to believe the impact Browning had on small arms development up to and including machine guns. The exhibits are informative and well organized, but for someone like me who has only a passing interest in firearms the exhibits were overwhelming.

The gun museum is part of the station museum complex - included in the $4 price. The gentleman I spoke to was very knowledgeable of the items. This is an outstanding history pof weaponry.

There are rare items, one of a kind items and a running commentary on them all. The docent staff was extremely helpful and answered questions in a friendly manner.

It is amazing because you will learn so much about how Browning revolutionized firearms. It gives you a complete history of his inventions. Also, you will learn that many of his ideas are still being used today.

Fascinating and detailed look at Browning's origins and at least one of everything he made. Docent was friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the visit, even if you're not a gun nut.

It is very easy to find. It is right downtown in the Union Station and there is plenty of parking and hotels and restaurants and such all around it.
