An excellent history of the weapons made by the Browning. Company, from the pistols to various types of rifles and semi-automatic weapons.

Great collection of the Browning firearms, well worth the trip to Ogden!

Awesome collection of rifles, shotguns, and pistols, all from the genius of the Browning family! Well-organized collection and great info, without being so much to read that it overwhelms you. My wife and I both enjoyed the museum, and seeing the arms that were personally owned by the Brownings, as well as the Serial #1 for some of the rifles. Well worth the $5 for a Senior or $7 for an adult (to all the museums). And the other museums are awesome also!

Trove of Priceless Browning Firearms Design History
Jan 2020
As other reviewers have mentioned, this museum packs a large number of exhibits into a relatively compact space. It bears repeating, this is a museum for gun-nuts.

The expected homages to the 1911, Hi-Power, shotguns, BAR, M2, and 1919 MG's are all there. But for me, the truly outstanding exhibits are the prototypes and one-offs. To actually see early prototypes and development pieces from John M. Browning makes this museum a MUST-SEE for any firearms enthusiast.

The museum is located inside Ogden's old train station (a graceful, beautiful old building). Several other museums are co-located there, including: western heritage, Utah railroads, a model railroad, and vintage cars. One modest admission charge ($7 for an adult at the time of this writing) grants entrance to all of them. I had limited time, and only visited the John M. Browning museum.

Living History
Oct 2019
This museum is tops if you like firearms. John Browning was one of the best gun makers that ever lived. The museum houses many guns he created along with their histories. More importantly they explain the history of what time periods they were created in and where they were used. Some of his personal weapons are located here.

Excellent displays and explanations of each firearm displayed.

This museum got me to stop in Ogden while on a road trip and I was not disappointed. Each firearm on display is visible from both sides which is nice because some of these are prototypes never in production. Interesting to see how some models evolved in the development process also. I learned some firearms made by other manufacturers where Browning designs. Learned a lot here and it is a very well laid out museum. Other firearms museums could learn from this one.

This museum is in Ogden's Union Station. Visited with my parents, since my dad is a vet and gun owner this part of the museum was a hit and very interesting. Worth the visit.

America's best gun designer
Jun 2019 • Couples
You will learn that Browning was the best gun designer America has ever had. He was able to see the mechanics of a firearm and how it would function in his head and then make it work. He was also very smart with it came to production. He licensed his designs to large manufactures that were already tooled up for large production. He didn't need to have his own factory this way and could devote his time to design. The displays show his prototypes and how they matured into a production item. Well worth the visit.

We stopped in on a whim. We were greatly surprised at what we found. There were quite a few guns, many unique, and many with detailed explanations of what they were about.
