Basically this is an NPS, National Park site and a good one, even if a bit off the beaten path. Definitely worth the trip for the look back into an important moment in US history. I don’t know about any arena. I suggest you start...More

We stumbled across quarter horse racing here and had as much fun watching the people as the horses! The audience seemed to be a mix of Latinos and whites, ranchers and laborers, and of course all were horse lovers.

The Golden Spike is a great spot in American history where east and west cane together, our country forever changed! Ghost towns now line the terrain, there's beautiful landscape and a chance to see replicas of the original locomotives. Very cool!
