My family and I attended the Nutcracker ballet and half way through we were kicked out for “disruptive children”. My 3 year old brother and cousin were very excited to see all the cute kiddos dancing, but were not overly loud. There were fighting teenagers in front of us and screaming little girls behind us. They were loud enough for me to learn that they love the sugar plum fairy the most and they take pictures with her every year. The staff claimed they warned them about their disruptive behavior but nothing changed. My family didn’t even get a warning, we just got kicked out. When we asked the “House Manager” why we were kicked out she was very rude and told my mom she was an irresponsible parent. This place is definitely NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!

NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY VENUE. My family and I attend the Nutcracker Ballet each year and usually it is an amazing experience. This year, however, the Egyptian Theater Staff ruined the whole experience. My 3 year old brother, like every other child attending, was excited and was talking a little bit here and there. The manager stood by our row and waited for my 3 year old brother to make a peep, once he did, my whole family was kicked out. The people sitting around us were even confused as to why we were being asked to leave. The kids behind us were much louder. When we asked the manager why they were able to stay, but we were asked to leave with no warning, she became very angry, started yelling and hitting the desk and told my mother that she is an irresponsible parent for bringing a child under 5 to the show. There is no age restriction on the tickets or website, and dozens of infants attend each year. I have never been treated so terribly as a customer in my life. We were kicked out right after intermission, and were told that we would not be receiving a refund. My whole family is heartbroken, as this has ruined our favorite Christmas tradition.

NOT A FAMILY FRIENDLY VENUE! We brought our family to see the ballet school’s performance of the Nutcracker. We had 3 three year olds who were very excited, but not overly loud, and we sat close to the back for easy exit if they did get loud. The House Manager sat and waited in the isle by us for them to whisper to each other and then kicked us out. No warning, just LEAVE! There was no DISCLAIMER about age for the event when they took my $150. But clearly we were discriminated against because we had small children. I asked for a refund as we were kicked out halfway during the show, and the House Manager told me I was an irresponsible parent for bringing a child under 5 to their theatre, IN FRONT OF ALL OF MY CHILDREN. The people around us were dismayed. They did not feel that the children were being very loud or distracting.

I saw a band there on May 15 2018 and had one of the best concert event of my life. I was a Mowtown Review show at no cost to enter. Families young and old were dancing in the isles.

As the conductor of Chamber Orchestra Ogden, I perform with my orchestra at least three times a year. The theater is a great place for concerts, good acoustics, and a staff that is knowledgeable and helpful.
