Recently vacationed in Park City and the top activity on our "to-do" list was dog sledding. You may find other options, but no one does it better than North Forty!

They provide transportation to/from the ranch (they met us at the Doubletree in town). This was extremely convenient as it is approximately a 30 minutes drive to their location. Our driver (Alex) was a wonderful tour-guide, providing very interesting information about the scenery during the ride.

When we arrived at the ranch, our guide (Mak) took us dog sledding and snowmobiling (one hour each). These folks are well in-tune on how to provide their guests with a wonderful experience. They volunteered to take pictures, let us spend time with the dogs, and took us through the countryside on both excursions. We chose to do both dog sledding and snowmobiling but you can do either/or if you'd like. They were able to fit us in same day but during the busy season, I would strongly recommend booking in advance. You can schedule your excursions for 9am, 11am, 1pm, or 3pm. If you want the opportunity to see an amazing sunset on a clear day, book the 3pm time slot.

Thank you Mak, Alex, and everyone at North Forty for a bucket list item that our family will always remember as the greatest part of our vacation!

Beautiful setting for sled ride. The ride itself was pretty simple but the overall experience was great, especially for the kids who get lots of time / access with the dogs (who are mostly friendly and love being petted). The lodge and hot chocolate were nice but a roaring fire in the fireplace would have been even better. RT van pickup was a nice touch and helped justify the otherwise expensive cost ($375 + tax + tip to sled driver). The staff were very personable.

Selected North Forty Escapes because of the opportunity to really drive the snowmobiles, not just follow in a line up and down a trail. This was a great decision! After a very fast ride up a beautiful trail, we opened up onto a huge prairie. Our guides led us in a few circles to create a "boundary" and then just let us loose for 30 minutes. It was fabulous! The machines were powerful but very easy to drive and my entire family of 6 had a great time. I highly recommend North Forty Escapes if you want an extraordinary snowmobiling adventure.

Couples vacation made complete. We booked our reservations a couple weeks prior to insure we all were able to go together. What an incredible experience. Walt, our guide made it such a fun trip and we are all so glad we booked this trip. All the guys were bummed that they weren’t able to go off on their own and weren’t to thrilled about having a guide. By the end of the trip they were so grateful for Walt and loved the entire experience. The property was so beautiful and breathtaking to ride through. I highly recommend this company if you are looking to book a snowmobile tour. They are so easy to work with and reasonably priced compared to other snowmobiling companies in Park City.

We recently traveled to Utah and found this wonderful location to snowmobile. Our group had originally booked a place in Snowbird but due to the avalanche we discovered North Forty Escapes in Oakley. Not having any expectations, we arrived to find a log cabin office where hot chocolate was free. The place offers "free" use of their winter gear such as powder pants, boots, and helmets. Our guide, Walt, divided us up into groups. My husband and I rode double and traversed the mountainside. The views were spectacular. The route was fun, challenging, and remote. We wove in and out of birch trees, up and down hillsides. Walt took pictures of us along with our group. He gave us the opportunity to each drive a snowmobile by ourselves since we were riding double. At one point our snowmobile got stuck but he made sure to come back and rescue anyone that had challenges in the powder snow. It was a fantastic experience and great value.

The snowmobiling back country adventure was awesome, Walt, our guide, made sure everyone was well instructed on safely operating the snowmobile, then took us on an amazing trip into the Utah mountain backcountry.

The scenery was amazing, and the ride was a blast. Highly recommend this trip if you’re in Park City skiing and need a day off from the slopes. It’s just as much, if not more, fun!

My 16 year old son and I had an Awesome experience. From the moment Skinny collected us from the hotel and gave us a guided tour on route to the trip, to the fantastic 2 hours of Snowmobiling through varied terrain. Strongly recommend for a fun trip and a break from the ski slopes. 5*

Great ranch with fun activities. The owner Jordan was very nice and helpful while making reservations. Loved the dog sledding. Would recommend doing the first run of the day when the dogs are fresh and excited. The guides/mushers were great.
The snow mobiling was amazing too! Lots of fun. They are very organized. Highly recommend using them.

You have to do this! Dog-sledding thru the breathtaking scenery at this private location is something you have to do and check off of your "bucket list"! While you are there, I highly recommend that you also go snowmobiling...they have something like 10,000 acres of private land and the trails thru the Aspen trees are really beautiful.

Everyone is so accommodating and friendly. Our guide, Mac, not only was great with the dog-sledding part of the adventure, but took the lead with our whole group on the snowmobiling tour through the scenery. An added bonus: their van picked us up and drove us back to where we were staying in Deer Valley. The van driver, Skinny, was super knowledgeable about the many sights along the drive.

Highly recommend this adventure. Wonderful experience for children and adults. Mr. Skinny who drove us to North Forty Escapes was very pleasant and informative about the Park City area and gave us the lay of the land. The ride went fast and was interesting. Jake our guide was excellent. Educational and fun. He is dedicated to providing an enjoyable day to everyone. Meet and greet with the dogs was fantastic. Dogs are so friendly and treated well. 5***** - The Davis Family
