No Course Management Made this a Poor Experience
May 2019 • Friends
Beautiful course, nice pro shop, but personnel allowed two 7-player teams at the height of play. Despite assurances from club house staff, we and all others were held up on each and every hole. Complaints went unheeded. This was on a holiday weekend, and this situation could have easily been dealt with by having the teams broken in two. We ended up playing some decent golf, but we will never get the bad taste out of our mouths. Public courses have enough problems. First and last time for this course as plenty of other great courses are available in the area. Advice to future golfers, call ahead to see if large groups are being allowed in front of you so you can prepare a nice picnic lunch to deal with the delays.

Love this course!

This is really a fun course to play - but if you’re a dedicated golfer isn’t just about any course fun to play? The course is well-kept and the surrounding scenery makes it an overall pleasant experience. The green fees are also very reasonable.

Some holes are pretty tight

It is a beautiful course on the east side of the valley. The only negative is that a few of the holes are pretty close to the houses and the course has signs saying that you can't use a driver even though it is well over 350 yards.

This is a very well maintained course. Great for golfers of all abilities. Good amount of trees compared to other courses in Salt Lake County. I would go back for sure.

Nice Layout and Fun Course
Aug 2016 • Business
Just played here for the first time last week for business. Course is built on a hill and in a community setting so there is a lot of variety for each hole. Definitely glad we were in carts. I am not a great or even a good golfer, but enjoyed the setting, golf game and views of what is left of the Great Salt Lake.

Beautiful Community Course

Beautiful public course that is not too challenging for beginners or hackers. More experienced golfers are usually split but it is pretty easy to get a tee time the day of.

Nice Course

You can usually get on Eaglewood at the last minute unless there is a tournament scheduled for that day. Best to call ahead. Nice layout that has enough elevation change that makes it a cart course. Staff is friendly, cafe has decent course food and course is kept in nice shape.

Fun golf course, easy to get on.. The track runs through the hills and has its challenges. Views too.

My Love/Hate Relationship with Eaglewood Golf Course
Jul 2015 • Family
It has taken me a long time to learn to like this course and I still have a few problems with it. Let me start with the overall layout; particularly the back nine where you get the impression that the housing was laid-out first and what was not usable for housing sites was left for the golf course. The holes are squeeze between rows of houses and holes 11-13 feel like repeats. Also, the back nine (especially, hole 14) is definitely walking-unfriendly. The front nine is not a bad walk, but you will have a climb back to the clubhouse at the turn. I have learned to like this course for the following reasons: • Accessibility; it is usually pretty easy to get on, particularly in the afternoons. • The front nine design, which is walk-able, helps make up for the mundane design of the back nine. • Practice area is very good with a nice driving range and a large undulating practice green • Club house staff, particularly a young man named John, is very friendly and do a great job getting golfers out on the course. • The club house restaurant, run by a local restaurateur (Carmack’s), is excellent and they make the best burger in Davis county. Their rate is reasonable at $14 for nine and $28 for 18 holes with a cart fee of $7 per side (as of 7/2015). However, they do run lots of discount (check their web site or Groupon before you go) so you should be able to find a less expensive rate. The course plays 6772 yards from the blue, 6075 yards from the white and 5173 yards from the red, so pick the tees appropriate to your skill level and you will have more fun and the golfers playing behind you will be happier as well.
