Just entering the shop you are enveloped in the aroma of chocolate. The tour was informative -- a short video history of chocolate, the Cavanaugh Family, and live viewing of the candy creations by employees. Yes, there were samples provided in the tour, as well as opportunity to buy the delicious ice cream and candies at the conclusion. I was able to ask all of my chocolate-making related questions -- and have them answered by the staff. Perfect for Grandma/Grandpa visits and for children (we had ages 4-8). The tour and perusing the giftshop took ~45-60 min. The Mindy Mint truffle bar and ice cream, along with the dark-chocolate dipped cinnamon bears, were my favorites.

Most people know about their chocolate, which is delicious. But they also serve ice cream which is also great!

We scheduled a tour the day prior. It only costs $1. We were able to watch a 10 minute video on how chocolate is made from the plant as well as watch the workers make the chocolate candies. Tour and time in the shop took about 1 hour. Small kids are welcome for this tour.

Saw this chocolate factory as we got off interstate headed to the pony express rv campground. Went back to buy local chocolates. Good prices. Friendly staff.
