I have nothing negative to say about the company besides I wish they had emphasized about how dangerous this river truly is. While our driver was going over the safety instructions, he casually mentioned that there's one spot where there's a temporary bridge and you have to get out of the water, walk around it, and then get back in. The way he described it seemed easy enough. Yeah right. When we got to the bridge, my partner was able to make it out but I was too far to the left of the river. When I got out of my tube and tried standing up in the water, the current was so swift that it pushed me forward. I had not choice but to swim beneath the bridge to the other side, holding onto my tube so it wouldn't float away. Fortunately, I'm a strong swimmer. I was lucky and came out the other side unscathed but a bit shaken up.

For anyone who isn't or has a fear of water or is doing this activity with kids under 12 year old, I would NOT recommend tubing here as an activity. Especially if you're expecting a chill afternoon float.

Went on an 11 AM trip in late June 2020. Air temp was about 80, water temp was about 60, pretty brisk but all in all bearable and not an issue. We had a group of 8 head up with coolers in tow thinking we would be able to bring them along but once we got out there, we understood why they don't allow coolers on this river. For those wanting a lazy float drinking beer and chatting, go somewhere else. This float does give you moments of being able to relax but there is a lot of paddling and being aware of rocks/trees/rapids that must be taken into account.

The only reason this wasn't a 5-star review is that the staff weren't exactly cordial (the driver was nice, the check-in guy was not) and they didn't have any Covid-19 precautions in place (we were all in the same van on the ride up to the launch spot). Otherwise, I'd do this again in a heartbeat, it was a great way to spend a summer afternoon.

The river itself is awesome. Definitely the most aggressive river I've ever been on for tubing, but for all of the rapids (class 2 at the most I think) that require some attention there are plenty of more leisurely areas where you can relax a bit more. Just be sure to have valuables in a dry sack and you'll be fine. If you're coming with young kids I can see where the tubing might be a bit hairy, but as an adult I loved it. My main complaint is with the company as they definitely haven't figured out this Covid thing. We ended up waiting quite a while at the check-in supposedly due to trying to time their shuttles. I figured it was probably due to Covid limitations, but I don't think it was since they certainly crammed as many people as they could into the shuttles. The guy apologized for his poor timing, but it was still annoying since he kept letting other groups go ahead of us who had arrived later. They really would benefit from just biting the bullet like other companies and scheduling fewer people so they can logistically handle everything better and offer better assurance with Covid safety measurements.

After my husband booked this for us (we are both 65), I read the reviews here and didn't want to go. But I'm so glad I did! We had a blast - there are enough rapids to keep you alert, but never felt unsafe. Great on a hot day - you will definitely get wet and the water is cold! As others have mentioned, this is a more active journey than the typical lazy river tubing, and it depends on when you go. We went in the third week of July, so after the snow melt. The staff was organized - we were asked to show up 30 minutes before our reservation; the bus to take us upriver left right at the reservation time. They pointed out the low bridge and the endpoint as we drove, and someone was there to pick us up when we finished. We will definitely do this again!

Went with a group of 40 year olds and we all had a great time. There are a few moderately intense parts but they were fun. We brought some beers but you have to know when to pull them out because you’re going to lose them or flood them with river water at the wrong times.

However, this trip isn’t for everyone. I wouldn’t recommend it for older people with poor body control, or try to sneak kids much younger than 12, or people who aren’t generally comfortable in the water. I did almost flip a few times.

If you like to have fun and are not a PANSY, like the people who wrote these bad reviews seem to be, then you’ll actually have a lot of fun. It’s Utah. Explore, have fun, don’t b**** over nothing. I have no complaints except for the bad reviews on here for making me think this could potentially be a bad decision. Good thing we went and made our OWN judgement. It was well organized, the people were nice, and the river wasn’t a “death wish”. Hahaha like really? I can’t believe someone wrote that about this river. We actually aimed for the rapids, it was fun and not scary what so ever. It’s was like Splash Mountain at Disney World. Obviously you have to pay attention, just move your body onto the tube when you get close to a rock so you don’t hit your legs, knees, or arms on them. Pretty common sense. And you have plenty of time to see them. You obviously use your legs or arms to paddle yourself away from trees and/or to your people. Not that hard. Stop reading and GO! It’s worth it. Thanks Barefoot Tubing, sorry you had to deal with sensitive people.

I have to say, after reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous. However, for us it was a great trip, we were a group of 4 (53 year old, 17 year old and two 14 year olds). It was well set up, friendly, organized. A whole bunch of people were early, so they just took us, rather than waiting for everyone else. There was adequate instruction, very easy to navigate the river and work out where to finish. There were several white water rafters that passed us along the way, but they were all careful and patient in passing us. There is a cabin where you can leave car keys and there is also changing tents and porta pottie. It was a great fun trip, professionally run! Highly recommend

This was the most extreme river I've floated. Definitely a workout, and you need to pay attention while floating.
I lost my phone at the river without realizing it, and the people at this company spent over an hour searching for it for me, and found it!! I can't express the gratitude I feel with this level of customer service. So refreshing!!

Loved the tubing down Weber River. The equipment was very good. Our shuttle driver to the river was very helpful and nice. She wore a mask and so did we.

The shuttle driver on return was unfriendly and did not wear a mask. She parked right in a huge puddle of dirty water, so we had to wade up to our ankles to get in the van.
She did not have to wade thru the puddle to get to the driver side. We looked around and it didn't seem she had to park there to pick us up. There was plenty of other parking. Then, she drives like a bat out of hell on the curves. I see from other posts that the speed was a concern for others. Yes, it's 75 mph limit, but do you have to go that fast on curves ? Then when we got off the highway her driving strangely turned in to turtle slow. I wish I had names, but didn't think of it at the time. We all felt there was a passive agressive behavior going on.

I will do again, because it is a great thing to do on a hot day. I would like to suggests, folks with little river maneuvering experience and young kids should consider the experience needed for this trip. Little people may not be able to steer well riding an inner tube easily.

The tubing was greatt.
However I got a tube thrown at my knee when they were putting and taking tubes of. I was standing a in group and turned to use the bathroom , and the tube hit my knee and my knee popped. Im now in sever pain and the man who did it was not very sympathetic towards the issue. He didn’t apologize and was extremely rude picking my group up. Even stated that my knee shouldn’t hurt because I was sitting in the tube and it shouldnt hurt. He didn’t listen to my pain and dismissed it. I We were late for pick up, but they dropped us off late so we didn’t start floating till 5 pm. Our time slot was 4 pm. Very dissatisfied and disappointed with our experience today. I believe his name was Kyle or something. Older man who was not very kind.
