Just paid 148 USD for two seats on a 3.5 hour tour of Monument Valley. I was a fool...it was totally overpriced IN ALL ASPECTS. To be fair, their lodging was fine ...but their tours are a complete rip-off......instead ...simply drive your own car around the 17 mile loop.

Goulding's Lodge was a wonderfully central place to stay, comfortable, with an amazing view of Monument Valley, meals were great and staff friendly, we went on tour in evening great photo shots with a fantastic guide who explained the Navajo culture and beliefs.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was quite quiet due to winter season and that suited us fine. Not sure I would appreciate it so much in high season. Our room was clean and spacious and had an amazing iconic view over Monument Valley. The link to John Ford, westerns and other movies is fun. Visit the 'museum' and... More

It's difficult to rate 3 things in one especially because all of them left different impression. The lodge is good, very clean and comfortable room, with modern heater and new Keurig coffee machine. Nice balconies with the view on Monument Valley. Off-season price is also very nice. However the restaurant is very average. Salad bar missed half of the ingredients,... More

The Goulding's Lodge was a great place to stay at after a long day of traveling. Lots of great details, very comfortable, especially since it was so hot when we were there. We were able to try some Native American food at the restaurant and they have a salad bar too. The views are just amazing. Great vantage points for... More

We did not stay at the Lodge but our tour group hired Goulding's Tours for an off road tour of Monument Valley and Mystery Valley. Our Navajo guide and driver, Leland, was excellent. It was really fun riding through the sandy area. We had lunch in Mystery Valley and had the entire area to ourselves. We were able to see... More

You cannot beat the view. You can see Monument Valley from camp. Site size is adequate. Gift shop. Indoor pool. Laundromat. Stayed here several times. Very quiet.

Goulding's stands with its back to one of the many monuments in the valley so first impressions are pretty good. Monument Valley itself is really interesting and the 2 hr jeep trip through the valley is worth doing. Comfortable and clean, and enjoyed the John Wayne movie in the little theatre.

Awesome view and the best was on second floor of the second level. Rooms were rustic type. Nice expensive gift shop. Lots of local items! John Wayne's Cabin was here!

Monument Valley was the highlight of our tour of the Canyons. Goulding's tour took its time to wind through the valley, stopping twice at outposts where snacks or Navajo crafts could be purchased. Our guide, Leland, was excellent; he had a lovely sense of humor and was a great story teller. This area, in the heart of the Navajo Reservation,... More
