We took the 3.5 tour with Bobby. There were just the two of us which was great. We found Bobby so knowledgeable, explaining the different geology of the area, how things were formed and comparing it as we went along. He gave us the 'names' given to the different formations which will help us to remember when we look at... More

It was a great tour, I would definitely recommend taking a tour rather than driving on your own. They take you to spots which c if you are cannot access if you are in your own car. And those spots were the highlight of the tour. I would say a 2 hour tour is more than enough if you have... More

Took the overnight tour to Hunts Mesa last month with our charming navajo guide Toney. After enjoying sweeping the views of the Valley from top of the Mesa, Toney set up a fire and cooked the most delightful dinner. The views at sunrise were even better. One of the best experiences in our lives. Toney made the most of it.

From the fast confirmation by Nate Holiday to the First-Class service by Duffy Holiday, our 2.5 hour lower Monument Valley tour was The BEST! Here's why: Fast, clear confirmation (no confusion), on-time pick-up by Duffy, great explanation by Duffy of what we would see, and great info on his people and traditions, and seeing what we would not have seen... Our tour began at 8:00 am. A woman from the tour company met us in the lobby of The View Hotel where we were staying. She escorted us outside to the truck. It is an open jitney style that seats approx 25 people on rows of padded benches. We read in a previous post to book an early departure to... More

Tully was our driver and guide for both our Monument Valley tour and one in Mystery Valley. He was waiting at the meeting place both times; the tours began exactly on time. We chose private tours because you can fully customize all the details... sites to see and those to skip, and time at each. Tully's knowledge is outstanding of... More

My friend and I were excited to tour Monument Valley and decided to take the Safari tour to the Mystic Valley. Our guide, Tully was a skilled driver and took us to great sites for photos. Along the way, he told us stories about his ancestors and what it was like living in the area. The drive was truly and... More

If you do not want to take your car into the reservation or want to go further into the backcountry than you can by car, we would recommend a tour with a local Navajo guide preferably in the late afternoon because of the light and lower temperatures. We took the Nate Holiday Monument Valley 3 ½ hour Safari. Since we... More

We arrived at the Monument Valley View Hotel after a long drive from Bryce Canyon National Park, and were at first somewhat underwhelmed by the monuments (wgen viewed from the main roads). Put it down to tiredness, or having been spoilt by the formations at Bryce. Got a good night's rest at the View Hotel (food much better than were... More
