This is well worth a stop if you are going to the needles section of Canyonlands. There were quite a few people there but managed to get a good photo. There is now a barrier as some have seen fit to graffiti over the years

Worth a stop if you are headed to the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. Interesting ancient rock art, and this is a larger panel than most with easy access.

Not sure about the recreation part of the site, but it does have quite a collection of petroglyphs, all on one wall, right next to the main road to the Needles section of Canyonlands.

This is a rock wall of some petroglyphs. It is a combination of Native American and early settlers who wrote on this rock wall.

I've heard about this over the 4 or 5 times I've visited National Parks and Monuments in UT and AZ, but somehow missed this. I've enjoyed the fainter petroglyphs in Fruita, near Capitol Reef National Park, but those are so faint as to provide a...More

We made a quick stop to see this site and it was well worth it. It had the most Indian writings I have ever seen in one location.

14 miles west of hwy 191 on state highway 211 between Moab and Monticello. It's 100 feet from the road, with signs and parking and vault toilets.
