Hidden Gem! Amazing!

Fantastic views - this place is worth the drive! Don't overlook Red Canyon. When we stopped in August, there was only 4 other people at Red Canyon. The views were amazing.

Flaming Gorge is absolutely beautiful. I hope someday I will be able to go back. It is breathtaking. It looks as if the campgrounds have plenty of space. The visitor's center is also a good stop. We walked the rim trail on the Utah side. Great! We saw lots of wildlife including a moose, some antelope and big horn sheep.

Stayed at Lodgepole campground, much cooler than down by the water, and had a great time. Host Randy was terrific. Drove around the lake and visited the dam, drove over very cool bridge and saw lots of antelope. Only problem was lack of nice places to eat. Bring a boat cuz you will want to use it on this gigantic... More

Very beautiful area! The Red canyon visitor center offers great views. The sheer creek geological loop is also very nice.

This 100 mile long reservoir has plenty of campgrounds, beach access, and launch ramps. The fishing is GOOD! The water is super clean. The Utah side boasts the Gorge and the Wyoming side boasts fishing and flat water. Lots of wildlife in the Gorge including, deer and big horn sheep. The Lucerne Marina has several tame antelope that greet your... More

My husband and I stayed with some family friends at the "hideout" camping spot in flaming gorge last week and we loved it. The "hideout" was very clean and close to many attractions. We rented a houseboat with Lucerne Valley Marina (which I dont think is worth the price at all) but spent most of the time on jet-skis, speed... More

This dam and Glen Canyon dam spare Green River in Spilt Mountain. There is a lookout spot above the dam on route 191. It is a beautiful dam with red rocks. We also stopped by visitor center to learn more about the area.

We spent several days here, just traveling. The west side, especially Red Canyon is its best side, but there is more access on the east side. Two nights in fire hole canyon was great as the recent rains brought out the desert flowers.
