We wanted to go to the Antilope Canyon, but didn't want to walk side by side with other people and didn't want to pay that much. It's a though road to get there, but it's more than worth it. Don't go there with bad weather....More

The drive to the trailhead is not fun. After exiting the highway, you go about 8 miles or so on a very bumpy gravel/dirt road that had clearly been damaged by the weather. I was in a small rental car and had to drive super...More

We did a lot of research before we went to the hike. The hike to the beginning of the canyon was pretty easy. The first part was beautiful until we get to the first obstacle, the 8 feet drop. My husband and I are in...More

Hot and dry and super windy, but so worth it. We lost the Wave Lottery but scored with info from the rangers on this spot. A narrow slot canyon that is really lovely. It was dry this time of year, but the height of the...More

Great hike for the whole family through a slot canyon. You don't need a permit for this hike. You follow a dry wash to the slot canyon hike through to buckskin gulch and can continue hiking either right or left in buckskin. So amazing!

This was a perfect short hike that we took on our road trip just passing through. 2 miles to get to the slots for pictures! And it’s all flat river bed easy hike.

Hiked 2-3 trails a day for 2 weeks all across Utah and I think this was my favorite! Took my dog who also loved it. My only complaints are the crowd that already knows about it and the lack of signs to find it. It...More

This hike was recommended to me by a local guide who knows the area well. To get to the trailhead, you need to drive 8 miles on an unpaved road. If you take it easy, it is not a problem (I did it in my...More

It’s pretty crumbling sandstone. I don’t think it would safely hold an anchor.

I think you will be fine to go. The road is just a dirt road to drive back on, no big deal. You really can't get lost on the drive back to the main road. As far as the hike, you can get to see some really great scenery, I... More

Not much of it, no. There is a VERY short (but gorgeous) section of slot prior to the drop, but IMO that alone isn't worth the drive out. When I was there last fall, I did make it most of the way through the detour and if... More
