Excellent! Saunders our guide took my wife and I to the Wave via the south coyote butte area as the Wire pass trailhead was closed due to a fire. From the Jeep ride to the start of the hike to the hike up to the Wave it was truly remarkable. We were the only ones at the Wave except for the big horn sheep we saw on the way. We came out of the dessert at dark after the sunset lit up the rock formations. I would highly recommend Kanab tour company for making our trip happen because they knew the area very well and gave us a safe and unforgettable experience.

The wave really is a "truly remarkable" formation. We're so glad you got the place to yourselves (other than the sheep of course! What a special sighting!). Saunders really does a great job, we're so happy he guided you safely on your trip. Thank you so much for leaving a review and for your positive words!

My parents, partner, and I had a blast on this tour! Kaleb was a wonderful tour guide; he was fun, knowledgeable about the area, and adventurous. He took us on a few side adventures, had sand boards for us to ride on the dunes, allowed us plenty of time to switch drivers in the ATV, and kept the group safe when we encountered a rattlesnake! He also had serious skills in terms of the iphone camera and taking pictures in the slot canyon. He gave us some great family photos! I highly recommend this tour - worth the money to see areas of the world that would be otherwise inaccessible to us with our vehicles!

Kanab Tour Company’s Peek-a-Boo ATV tour exceeded my expectations. Our guide Austin went above and beyond to keep our 3 year old son interested and engaged throughout the tour, making it not only enjoyable for him but also for the other 2 couples on the tour. Austin is a wealth of knowledge about the local area and the geology of the slot canyon. The Polaris RZRs are new and well maintained, from the first phone call with the company it was evident that safety is a high priority. I highly recommend this tour outfit if you are looking for an ATV tour with an experienced guide to a remote slot canyon.

We had a fabulous trip to White Pocket within the first half of November 2020. We had checked around with a few companies, and being senior citizens, are very Covid-conscious. Kanab Tour Co seems much more Covid-conscious than competitors we checked with, as our trip consisted of just us two plus our excellent guide Larry. Others would pack more strangers into the same vehicle or make us pay twice the price for a "private" tour. Larry did a great job of showing us beautiful places and driving like an expert.

Our family had the opportunity to hike “The Wave” over Thanksgiving week, 2020. It was our first time hiking this area and knew an experienced guide would be very beneficial. We connected with the Kanab Tour Company (Kanab, UT) and were paired with Larry for our day. For those who’ve had the chance to experience it, you already know what a spectacular experience The Wave is to hike.

If you’ve yet to do it – and get the chance – we highly recommend connecting with Kanab Tour Company. They’re exceptionally organized, have first class vehicles for transport to and from the trailheads and our guide Larry made sure we saw the best of the hike and the hidden treasure views along the way it takes an experienced lead to point out. Kanab Tour Company offers a number of excursions in and around the area and we’ll definitely call on them again the next time we’re able to make the trip to this beautiful part of the desert southwest.

Nature, adventure and people are together what makes a great experience. COVID-19 challenges the people part. Our fantastic guide Kelly, our guide from Kanab Tour Company, made all of this come together and the Tour became the highlight of our three week airstream adventure out West (me, age 59, and my three young adult children went on the tour in our own buggy). First beauty, the slot canyon and dunes were stunning. Second adventure, driving the buggies in the sand was thrilling (and fun to watch our young adult children laugh as they drove the sand roads in what seemed like a real life video game). Third, the people, namely Kelly. There are many guides that that help you have fun, but Kelly was exceptional. She is trained as a park ranger. So Kelly not only added excitement and a positive joy to the adventure, she also taught us many small things about nature. She was also very careful and respectful of COVID concerns and associated precautions. It summary a thrill seeking former park ranger to help you have fun, learn, and be respectful of nature. It was that rare combination that made the trip truly special.

We couldn't agree more--adventuring together with the people you care about is the best! We are so glad our guide Kelly was able to show you an "exceptional" time! She really is someone full of joy and a sense of fun. We're so glad you were able to explore some beautiful spots with us as well as learn some new things about our area. Thank you for coming out with us!

We decided to hire a guide to hike “The Wave” because of it’s remoteness. The staff at Kanab Tour Company was very friendly and Kelly was assigned as our guide. The hike was amazing, and Kelly was very knowledgeable, got us there and back safely, and was patient with us as we move a little slower than the average person. The only negative part of our tour, and it was enough to turn the entire experience sour, was that Kelly berated other hikers if their permits weren’t visible. It was very awkward for us when she was asking other groups if they had permits for the area, and then further quizzed them on how they got them, whether months in advance or at the lottery the day before. It got really bad at the end when we ran into a group of four (three young ladies and a young man), whom she suspected didn’t have permits. She lectured them about respecting the area and was very condescending to them, and then contacted a ranger to report them for not having a permit, when they easily could have had it in their pockets or backpacks. This made us very uncomfortable and we had to listen to her rant about them not having permits and how she overheard them talking at a bar about going to the Wave a few nights before. It was very unprofessional and if she would have put all of that energy into showing us a good time instead of obsessing over these other people, we would have enjoyed the tour much more.

Dear Reviewer, This is the saddest review we have ever responded to. The two hikers who went on the Wave tour with Kelly on the day that she spoke with 4 trespassers assert strongly that they did not write this. The details match up perfectly with a day that Kelly, who has a passion for protecting the North Coyote Buttes, saw four very unprepared hikers who were not permitted to be there. They did not have ample food, water, hats, proper walking shoes, etc. And, they did not win permits. Acting out of concern for their safety, she asked them if they had permits. Once she found they did not, she asked them to leave the area out of respect for those who had rightfully obtained permitting. As a former BLM officer, Kelly is comfortable with making sure hikers are safe, prepared, and rightfully there. The permitting process is there for a reason. We understand that it is not easy to obtain permits, however there is so much to see outside of North Coyote Buttes! Hundreds of people come to the lottery each week in Kanab, and those who are not lucky have a plan B in mind. And usually that plan B does not involve sneaking in. You can see how it would perturb Kelly to overhear visitors to Kanab talking about sneaking in (another part of this story that only the 4 trespassers would have heard). Previous to this review, Kelly's guests had only positive things to say. After hiking with her guests on the date of this Wave tour (May 10th), Kelly felt they had all had a good experience, even though she needed to take some time to speak with trespassers. That is why she was deeply troubled upon reading this diatribe. She wrote her guests immediately, explaining that her passion for protecting the area was the impetus behind guarding it fiercely. And here's the crazy thing: THE GUESTS WROTE KELLY BACK AND SAID THEY DIDN'T WRITE THAT REVIEW! So not only do the writers of this review feel comfortable trespassing at the Wave unsafely, they feel comfortable posing as someone else in order to hurt Kelly and our company! That tour consisted of a mother and son, and here is the email response to the review: "Hi Kelly, I hope all is well! This is Brad from the recent Wave tour with my mother, Sheila. My wife and I reviewed the Trip Advisor comment we think you are referencing, and neither my mother nor I wrote that review (or any review quite yet). Is it possible that another couple had a similar situation as us? We really enjoyed you as our tour guide, and I was supportive of you protecting the area from unregistered hikers. Either way, that review was not from us and I am sorry to hear that the review hurt you so much. We will definitely write a very positive review soon! Wishing the best going forward." To answer the question as to the possibility of this being another couple: there is no other tour to the Wave that Kelly has taken that matches the description in the review than the one with Brad and Sheila. Here is a transcript from the voicemail Sheila left with us upon reading the trespasser's review: "Hi this is (sb) and I got an email from Kelly apologizing due to a review that was put out on Tripadvisor that she thought I was complaining... that was not my review, but I was with her at that time. I am really disturbed that someone was kind of impersonating me and my son, but that was not me that gave her a two star. I thought she was super, I do not have one complaint about her I'm going to reply to her email. I'm going to see if I can reply to the review. I'm just really disturbed that someone would do that, I'm sure it was people from the group of four, that one of them did this. My son and I went out on the tour with Kelly on May 10th. Again that's not my complaint, I haven't even written a review about it, when I do, it's going to be a great review." And here is the legitimate review from the hikers on May 10th, which you may see posted on May 20th: "Our hiking lottery day was May 10, 2021. Kelly was our guide and she was fabulous. She was very informative, got us in The Wave at the best time when the sun highlighted it's features, and was excited to show us some other rock formations like the Second Wave and the Boneyard. We felt safe hiking over the terrain because she continually explained what we were doing next. We had sufficient breaks. Kelly allowed us some private time to enjoy The Wave. So glad we had Kelly instead of doing this on our own. I highly recommend The Kanab Tour Company and Kelly as a guide." We wish we didn't have to respond to such a false misrepresentation of one of our guides, but as this review was allowed to stay up, we needed to defend Kelly, whom we love and appreciate as one of the best out there.

We had a great day hiking Bryce Canyon with Trevor. He was an excellent guide who is very knowledge about the area and obviously loves what he does. After a good lunch at Ruby’s, we headed down to PeekABoo Canyon, jumped in some Razors and just had a blast. Trevor made a huge effort to make our day perfect for us, taking pictures, informing us of places to see in the area adjusting our day to do what we enjoyed. We would highly recommend Kanab Tour Company to give you an experience you’ll never forget. Oh yeah, and ask for Trevor!

Kaleb was the tour guide that made the experience so personalized. He made sure we were comfortable operating the vehicle, allowed us to have fun, guided us through the canyon at our rate making sure we captured as many pho’s as we liked. He also taught us how to adjust out iPhones to captures some cool shots that he lined up for us. He shared his knowledge of the canyons and area. He really cares about the people in his group making sure everyone has a great time genuinely. Kaleb was incredible.

Spectacular! The Peek-a-boo ATV tour surpassed all of our expectations. Those ATV's are amazing machines! Our guide Trevor was excellent - he was super positive, very informative and set a great pace on our drive through the sand dunes. Think exhilarating "roller coaster ride" with the perk of a beautiful slot canyon and boarding down sand dunes. We took a side trip to the white wave which we highly recommend, not only because of the beautiful rock formation, but also for the twisting and turning curves that got us there! So much fun!!
