I brought my two sons in to forge their first knife, and this became the highlight of their trip.
George did an amazing job with them. He is very knowledgeable and patient with the younger first timers. He also had a great sense of humor that kept them inline when their technique would slip.
It was hard work for them but well worth it.

My husband had taken one of George's classes a few years ago. This time he really wanted to forge a knife. At the last minute I decided to give it a try as well. So glad I did! George is a wonderful teacher. I love the way he can teach, motivate and keep the your spirits up. I really appreciate that while learning something new, I also learned safety and techniques. We did this on the last day of our vacation. It was a great way to finish our trip, and making some fantastic memories. Definitely something we will do again!

We spent a week in the Kanab area and saw many beautiful sights. However, the most enjoyable thing on our itinerary was this class with George. We loved our morning spent at the forge with George. It was educational and FUN. You learn the basics and have a great time. When you get home you have a great story to tell and you can share your finished product. All were impressed. Our entire group put this at the top of our list.

Friends came to visit. Weather was cold, so we decided to do a fun indoor adventure. George is the best teacher, and we had a wonderful time making bottle openers! We laughed and learned so much in just an hour. I'm so glad Iive here so I can go back.

True! Nothing like cozying up to a forge when it's cold outside. Thank you for the review, for bringing your friends in and we definitely look forward to seeing you in another class soon!

We had a fantastic time at Blacksmith Adventures in Kanab, Utah. The shop is very convenient and easy to find, right off the highway.
Our teacher was a true professional blacksmith. He was very good at explaining things and breaking the project down into manageable steps, adapted to our novice skill level.
The shop was organized and everything was well set up for the class. The equipment and materials were all prepared when we arrived and we got right to work!
We came home with our completed projects and just couldn’t be more pleased. We’ll definitely book another adventure next time we are in the area.

My father-in-law, uncle and myself had made a stop here on our way out from our adventures in Utah. George was a friendly and knowledgeable instructor. We had a blast making our wall decorations and learned so much about the blacksmithing life while waiting for our metal to heat up. I highly recommend stopping by if you are ever in Kanab, Utah.

What a great time! My wife and I did this to fill in a cloudy, rainy day and a break from hiking. We had a blast. George was great! Showed us how to forge bottle openers! It was just my wife and I so George spent some extra time to show us the ropes and explain everything. Highly recommend if your in the area and have an hour to kill!

This was a fabulous experience from beginning to end. We made a bottle opener, learning how to use the tools and the forge and received personalized instruction every step of the way. The session was fun and informative and we liked the work so much we had a personalized sign made for a very reasonable price when we were done. Well worth the time and cost for something uniquely different.

I really enjoyed the personal attention George gave to everyone in our class. It didn't matter the skill level of an individual, he was patient and taylored the learning experience to each student. My wife was totally new to blacksmithing and wanted to give it a try after watch me take a 1 hour introductory class (bottle opener) three years ago. We both took the 1/2 day class and made knives, what a blast! We talked about it the whole way home! Thank you George and Blacksmith Adventures!
