We had passed by a couple of times and were enchanted by the gorgeous grounds and amazing architecture. We stopped by this afternoon and wandered through the beautiful gardens before meeting Tina who turned out to be a warm, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. We were lucky to be the only ones there at the time and got through a full tour before the next group came by. The house is immaculate and filled with fascinating history about the area, the history of the town, and the life of the people living there. Our kids were very engaged and really enjoyed learning about the families who lived in the house. We got a lot out of this visit and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Tina and a big thanks to all of those who have put in the time and effort to preserve this piece of history. Would visit again!

Made the reservation online and it worked perfectly. You can use your phone to scan barcodes for exterior and interior rooms (the upstairs is closed). They are clearly being careful due to COVID-19, which we appreciated. The volunteer who let us in was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. It is such an interesting bit of history with photos and period furnishings. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the self-guided tour of Heritage House. Easy instructions in the pamphlets complete with QR Codes. Exterior and interior tour. Covid policy you have to book interior tour time on line since House is not staffed all the time. Tour is free. Interesting to learn the history of the house and it’s inhabitants. Filled with period furnishings some original to the house. Good activity to do if you’re in the area.

This was a great activity to break up our time outdoors in the surrounding parks. A short walk away from the heart of Kanab, the hosts were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The home was beautiful and interesting, a step back into a simpler time. And on top of all that, it was free!

Great tour of a wonderful old house. This place is a huge part of Kanab history. Nicely timed tour. Jay was our tour guide and she was excellent - extremely knowledgeable and you could detect her passion for the house’s past.

We had just an exceptional experience at the Heritage House with Emily as our tour guide. We were passing through Kanab on our way to Zion and upon spotting the beautiful architecture of the home we knew we had to stop. The tour was informative and incredibly interesting, and left us wanting to learn more about the history of Kanab, the history of Utah, and about the Mormon religion. We've found ourselves talking about the tour and the things we learned throughout the rest of our trip through Utah. Thank you to Emily and Kanab, we will be back!

Wonderful experience. Indeed the best little museum in Kanab. So much of the house hasn't been modernized. Like the original kitchen stove and room heating stoves throughout the house. Amazing unfinished upstairs where a dozen plus children of all ages reigned.
Tour guide Emily was fun and so well informed. Jolly Good!

Emily helped us appreciate this whole experience in a personal way. She cares so much that it's more than a job to her. We left this tour appreciating much more about the community than I could have imagined. We're very glad we visited.

What a fun surprise this place was. We stopped by on a whim and our tour guide Emily was fantastic and incredibly enthusiastic. We learned tons of history about Kanab and Utah in general, the home is well-preserved and the free tours start at the top of the hour. Do yourself a favor and pop in to this beautiful home and piece of history!
