Although very conveniently located the services were lacking with over booking, unfueled atvs and poor time management. Consequently although our group was first for the day scheduled at 930am a week in advance we were an atv short for 2 people and left at 10am....the money was refunded for the short but it left a poor taste on vacation after, who wants to deal with that? If its not a spur of the moment decision there are other outfitters in Hurricane and Saint George who only focus on motorsports and not paddleboards, jet skis and boats. (Side note a lady who drove from CA didn't get her boat because it broke down and they didn't have a spare without bumping someone else)..... Having said all that sand hollow trails and our guide were great and well worth the adventure.... management not having their act together made it an average experience.

Our family had a wonderful reunion in the Hurricane area and spent a day at Sand Hollow. To make it a memorable experience we rented a boat from BASH. It was a well-used Tige. Plenty of power for what we were going to be doing. There were only two problems. I'm pretty sure there was no power steering and the accelerator was "a bit tight," as in sometimes I literally had to use both hands to push down the accelerator. I always had to use two hands to turn the boat around. I did get a good arm workout! In spite of the old and tired Tige, we made the most out of the experience and had a great time.

Rented one high-powered jet ski and stayed on the south side of the reservoir.
The staff was friendly, but seemed to lack professional awareness (maybe due to age?). There were two lines waiting to check-in and check-out equipment. One couple was frustrated and skipped the lines asking to be helped. Instead of asking them to wait in line, they served them ahead of the 40 other people waiting in the two lines. Yes, it was a hot, busy day with a lot of people and it was super frustrating to see this kind of service. I guess I could have attempted this tactic, but it is not in my nature to expect special service because I'm frustrated. With five children waiting, I probably would not taking them again.
I also would not visit if there were no rentals. The beach was packed and those around us were blaring music the whole time. The only way to enjoy yourself is to be out on the reservoir. It was difficult to enjoy some relaxing time on the beach. The jet ski had a lot of wear and tear with the side panels about to come off. However, the seemed to work okay for our needs.
While you could drive your vehicle onto the beach, we saw about 10 vehicles stuck in the sand. Basically, if you didn't bring a truck, then you parked on the street, which was packed. So parking was a challenge (we brought a van).

Rented two jet skis and a Standard Ski Boat. The staff here was super friendly and helpful. Would recommend the premium boat if available as the standard was a bit underpowered for really wanting to water ski. Skis and tube rental seemed a bit overpriced for quality of equipment but we still had a great time. Was great for a super hot weekend that limited time riding dunes. We’ll be back!

Our experience was decent, but the price was through the roof. We rent boats often at different locations and have never paid this much to rent a boat. $711 for HALF DAY. We usually pay around $500 for a full day. Even this location two years ago was half this price. You can rent a luxury house boat at Lake Powell for $1000 per day to give perspective. A boat for a full day here would be over $1400! I'm all about making a profit as a business, but they obviously need some competition to bring the prices down to be realistic. The front desk could also get more organized.

We were there a few weeks ago and rented a “wake” boat. Once we booked our reservation we were given information that said we should arrive 20-30 minutes early to check in and sign paperwork. We did as asked and sat there for a half hour waiting for them to open at 10. Then after waiting for them to open, it took them over an hour to get the boat in the water. So we waited with our family with both teenagers and younger kids for over an hour for them to get the boat in the water and bring it to their dock. They had tracked muddy sand all over the boat and just left it there for us to clean up on our own. (See pictures). After we cleaned their boat for us to use, they took us out to “show” us how to use the boat. After the tutorial the worker promptly crashed the boat head on into the dock and then sent us on our way.
If that start wasn’t bad enough the boat was horrible. It had a hard time starting. The engine belts would whine like crazy. The throttle was super unresponsive and it would disengage all the time while trying to increase the speed. The steering was also not where it should have been.
After our 4 hour rental they asked us how it went and I said that the boat has some major issues and they said “tell me about it” and then walked away.
This was by far the worst experience I have ever had in renting a boat. The lack of customer service/caring about anything was astounding. Either the owner just doesn’t care or whoever he pays to manage the place doesn’t care.
Don’t rent from these guys! They don’t service their vehicles and they have horrible customer service. I spent over $800 for a half day rental of piece of crap boat and horrible service. I have spent far less before and had much better experiences from similar vendors.

The boat that we rented was such junk and was sooooooo dirty. There was food and sand all over inside of the boat and so many broken down things. This boat was only 1 year old and was not taken care of. When we were surfing, the boat would just shut off. The tower speakers never worked and so the riders and passengers in back couldn’t hear the music. This was a very cheap and crappy boat. While we were in line to get the boat, someone approached us and wanted to rent us the exact same boat for $600 per day. We paid $640 for 3 hours. The boat that we rented was a Heyday. I’m so sad because I was excited to try this boat. Lesson learned. BASH does not take care of their stuff and it is so over priced. Find something on KSL and save your money and get better quality.

We live here in town and had some family in visiting and decided to rent some kayaks for an hour. The prices were fair and we headed out on the kayaks to enjoy the water. About 3/4 of the way through one of the kayaks started to leak and fill internally with water. We pulled up to the shore and beached it and headed back to the rental shop. The manager greeted me as I was pulling up to the regular drop off spot with the other kayaks and asked how things went. I explained to her what happened and she immediately owned it, said it was not acceptable, apologized and offered a full refund for ALL of the kayaks. WOW! That is customer service. Stuff happens but how you handle it says a lot about your business and these guys handled it perfectly.

Rented two jet skis. The machines were old and slow. The price was insane. $14 per machine per hour just for gas? Give me a break. Strongly recommend renting from a third party instead of giving your money to this place. I wouldn’t mind the price if the staff and service was commensurate but they are not.

We went here to rent a ATV. It was a slow day. Not much going on. I wanted to rent the lower priced one. They said they did not have any. They only had the most expensive UTV at $200 an hr and $80 for the second area. Then after an hour it broke down we then Learned it had broken down the day before. They refused to refund us. So I feel the forced us to rent the most expensive one and it was broken. I will not rent from them again.

We’re wondering if it’s easy to swap out riders on an ATV or PWC? Like if we rent one for our family of 6 to share, will we be able to pull up on the beach to give someone else a turn?
Written February 3, 2019
On the PWC, yes it is. You can bring them right up to the beach and change riders. The ATVs are only sent out on guided tours now, so there isn't a point where you would be able to switch riders.
