When I passed by and pulled up... I truly wasn't excited to go in.
My 4 Children absolutely loved this place (ages 9, 11, 12 & 12). In fact they asked if we return to Bryce Canyon itself... If we could return here. I also was impressed. The owner was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he has created over the past 40+ years. If you're in the area - definitely worth a visit and checking out! The museum is a very extensive collection of many areas of the world. There were quite a few things I learned and the children soaked up much new info about animals too!
*A special bonus was when we discovered we could feed the deer out back*
*He also has ATV rentals & a few other associated businesses*

Our hotel had no literature about this museum in its attraction rack, so I guess it was luck when we decided to stop after passing it several times during our travels. What a wonderful surprise! While the collection is extensive, we found the specimens of the local wildlife exceptional. This is not a tourist trap but rather a carefully curated collection of wildlife unique to Utah, as well as some from the owners travels in Africa. The space was exceptionally organized and cared for very well. We did have the pleasure of meeting the owner who explained the background about his collection. Clearly he had great respect for nature as this was his life’s endeavor. Very informative and well done. Note: Younger children may miss the nuances of the displays.

Modern vehicle, great people and amazing scenery. Saw prairie dogs & pronghorns and had a great time cruising around in the 4 wheeler. Fun stuff and I highly recommend this as an alternative to a really long hike. We did a 2 hr ride and that was perfect. If I did it again, I might do a longer trip so I could bring a picknick lunch and just hang out for a bit in the remote woods.

Refused service to an interracial couple. Claimed it was because the ATV wasn’t working, but we saw them driving it. The woman working there walked away in the middle of us politely asking what was wrong. When we asked the man working there to help us find another rental, he just pointed down the road and said, “drive there.” When we asked if he could call the other shop to give them a heads up about what was going on, he said no.

We recently visited this museum and were extremely impressed by the displays of wildlife and other objects here! We really enjoyed seeing the beautiful animal specimens preserved by taxidermy, most arranged in naturalistic dioramas; posted at each diorama was an informational placard describing the animal and its normal habitat and eating habits. There is also a huge collection of heads mounted on the museum’s walls. In addition to mammals, there are beautiful butterflies and moths (displayed by locale), giant insects, fish, and even seashells and arrowheads. In a separate African room, there are specimens and artifacts pertaining to those cultures.
We spent over an hour enjoying the exhibits. We were greeted by the owner, who is obviously very passionate about his life’s work; we learned that he obtained every animal himself over many decades of acquisition—considering the scope of animals covered here, that was quite amazing. Being animal lovers, we have visited many similar wildlife exhibits (including the excellent Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO); this place rivals any of those in quality and quantity.
If you are in the area to visit Bryce Canyon National Park, as we were, be sure to include a stop at this fascinating museum.

Our family had an amazing four hour ATV trip through the Paunsaugunt backcountry thanks to Bryce Wildlife Adventures! We were able to make a last-minute booking, and Jeff picked out a great vehicle to hold all four of us and our dog comfortably. Going over the map with Jeff was very informative and comedic - he has a way of stressing important details while keeping the mood light.
We truly appreciated the opportunity to explore the incredible vista points and wildlife at our own pace.
We will definitely do this again the next time we're in Bryce!

We did a two hour adventure on a six-person ATV. We had a blast! We saw antelope, prairie dogs, and an osprey pair. The guy that fitted us out was EXCELLENT!! So nice and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a fun time and a bit of personal adventure.

ATV adventure! Fantastic trip, the people, gear scenery was perfect.
At this place social distancing is respected and everyone wears a mask.
I also enjoyed the fact that staff didn't smoke.
Thanks for the fun time!

We chose this rental location because we didn't want a cheesy guided ATV tour and have ridden ATVs a few times in the past. It was excellent! The owner was so helpful in showing us the trails on a map and pointing out where we would see wildlife. We had rented a 4 person and a 2 person for our group. Not too long into it we had equipment problems, but the owner came out quickly and swapped our machine. The scenery is great and varied and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Robert, the owner, even let one person in our group borrow his sunglasses. Make sure you bring sunglasses or goggles and be prepared to get VERY dirty/dusty - but that's part of the fun!

This place is a MUST STOP. My family of 12 stopped in here for what was one of the best parts of our trip. We could’ve spent hours in there, looking at the details and massive amounts of displays. We were able to feed the goat and deer afterwards and spend some time with the owner, Robert. He was so knowledgeable and proud, and one of the nicest people we met in all of Utah. Certainly stop in for an unforgettable and unique experience, unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Hi Barb, Thanks for your review. I am curious to know where you stayed? I looked at the website for Bryce Canyon Wildlife Adventures and it does not appear that they offer lodging.

Do you believe a woman is capable of operating an ATV?
Written November 11, 2016
Yes, we do believe that a women can ride an ATV. And many do. However, you did not have any experience and you neglect to say that you were alone. As a business owner it is not in our best interest to be liable for someone who has no experience to ride 35 miles navigating a map without someone with you. Let's not let sexism get in the way of the real reason you were not experienced to go alone on a 35 mile unguided ATV ride. It wasn't your sex. It was your lack of experience. Take a guided ride or take a lesson.
Written November 11, 2016
Do you need to make reservations ahead of time for the ATV tours?
Written April 4, 2016
Reservations are not required. However, during the busy season, it is recommended that you make reservations to secure to type of ATVs, date and time. We are the only ATV rental that offers an unguided ride so are units are rented daily. Thank you. Hope to see you. It's a great ride with lots of wildlife, scenic viewpoints and lake. Terri
