About Utah Slickrock Guides
Hike with us in wild, remote Utah. We’re the authors of "Hiking from Here to WOW: Utah Canyon Country.” But we’ve decrypted many cross-country dayhikes we’ll never publicize. The scenery is national-park quality. And the solitude is delicious. Few hikers realize that Boulder is to slickrock hiking what Moab is to slickrock biking. What they miss here is astonishing. Let us show you.

Amazing experience. We had absolutely NO idea what 'slick rock' hiking was when we booked, we just liked the idea of a private, guided week of hiking in Utah. But slick rock is AMAZING! Huge, expansive, wide open, makes for a unique hiking experience. Craig & Skye are INCREDIBLE. So friendly, warm, interested and interesting, AND amazing guides. They took us on terrain we would have never even dreamed of accessing, and we did it without incident and we loved every second of it. Hard to describe this experience, other than to say that is is MORE FUN than regular hiking. As Nike likes to say, JUST DO IT and you will be rewarded with one of the best hiking weeks of your life.

During three full days of EXCEPTIONAL hiking, UT's Slickrock EXPERT guides brought the grandeur of this EXQUISITE landscape into full focus. Having written "WOW!" -- the consummate hiking book for this spectacular area, they know every single swirl and cranny. Each day, they wound our little tribe of 4 (all 60+ grade school friends) up, down, in, out, all around, in front of and through slick rocks, sand, arches, old roads, cliffs, canyons, heavy vegetation, ancient art, and river tributaries. Paths that seemed impassible were easily circumnavigated. The best part? It was just us. This wilderness is best EXPLORED and EXPERIENCED with EXCELLENT guides. I can't wait to return. Thank you Skye, Craig and Denice for wow after wow after WOW!

Tremendous day with Skye and Denice, and not a single other person in sight for ~ 7 hours! The area is really a special place, and they have done an amazing job of mapping out a huge location. Can hardly wait for the next trek.

Skye and Denice met us for the “All you can eat” hiking adventure. They were the perfect guides for us. They helped us maneuver through the slick rock terrain up to an arch, pictographs, and other beautiful locations. We appreciated good conversation, knowledge of the area, and just a great day of adventure! We hope to be back soon!

Fantastic experience hiking 2 days with Craig and Skye. They have developed quite a number of special hikes and they do a terrific job of carefully matching the right hikes to a group’s skill level. We loved hiking with them, they are wonderful, encouraging, interesting individuals who have great guiding skills.
