I booked a condo at Eagle Point in June 2020 , the place is full because of a festival and in spite of being full the resort has no respect for these paying customers and keeps doing contructiin works all ove the site, in the apartments next to mine in the parking area in front of the main building and in the structure at the back of the condos. I wanted to have some peace from the city. The condo is cosy but I found the whole experience not peacefull at all. At arrival there are escavators at the entrance working in the carpark.it looks like a worksite (not inviting). I would have liked to use the balcony but the noise from the house nextdoor is incredible. There are workers and they leave the radio on in the car the whole afternoon so loud I can hear it from inside my apartment with the windows closed. Also if you book the condo on the ground floor be ready to hear a lot of walking and thumping from the people upstairs. In the morning at 8am the drilling starts.. on top of everything there is no grocery shop and the restaurant is closed Monday to Thursday. when I went to the reception desk of the lodge to ask about activities, rentals, hike nobody was there because the person attending the desk went into town. There are no walking trails you have to use the car ir a ATV. The Wifi works only near the Lodge and not in the apartment and there is no mobile coverage so if you want to relax on the couch planning your day, or sipping a drink on the balcony talking to your loved ones forget it. Remeber we are no talking about some little dingy B&B run by a family here. It is a big establishment. They need to do better and respect paying customers .if they need to do major contructiin works they should net book the place or organize a family event.

Dear Guest, We are sorry to hear that the timing of your trip coincided with the foundation dig on the new lodging the resort is building in the base village. It was definitely noisy during that phase but now that its over peace and quiet has returned. One of the many reasons we are building new lodging is to increase the amenity package in our lodging such as high speed internet, communications and modern and spacious accommodations. We welcome you to return next winter or summer to experience what the noise was all about. We would like to make it up to you so please email shane@skieaglepoint.com so we can arrange an incentive to return. Best wishes, Eagle Point Resort

First, the positive: friendly, helpful staff in both lodges and running the ski lifts. Not a lot of people on the slopes was nice. Now for why the place gets 2 stars. On their website it states clearly that masks must be worn, basically everywhere but going down the slopes. That is not enforced even a tiny little bit. On Thursday morning, as the place opened for the weekend, the line was heavy in the small room where people were getting fitted and picking up their rentals, and at least 50% were not wearing masks or had them pulled down below their noses. Staff members had them on, but I saw only two who were wearing them properly. Guests could freely walk in without a mask and staff said not one word to them. Obviously, the words on their website are untrue, and this was disappointing. I would have expected them to have other Covid precautions in place as well, such as distancing in the line or having people wait outside until their name was called (or be given a number and have that called out). We chose this place because of the small number of people we were told were going to be here this weekend (this seems true), and because of the stated required mask wearing. My kids and husband were happy with the skiing, but we were all disappointed in the lack of covid consciousness.

Came here over MLK holiday weekend. Not sure where to start. The Monarch lift was shut down with no plans to reopen it. This made the line at the only other lift extremely long. We then noticed they were only loading every third chair. Why? No one could explain to those who had to eat 30 minutes to get on a chair. We then went to other side. That’s when the Tushar lift broke down stranding skiers who unable to hike the mountain back to the top. There was no communication or support from the untrained operators who had no interest in helping anyone. Instead they just stood there and cracked jokes with female ski patrol person as we began to hike.

This place has great potential but is terribly managed. Hopefully the owners wake up, train their employees, invest in their equipment and provide the level of service that will ensure their success in the future.

For such a beautiful place it is a shame that their HORRIBLE customer service will keep people from coming back. From the front desk to the bar they believe in being rude to everyone out of state . So if you are looking for a quiet trip with very rude people this is the place to go . Oh and make sure to see Cam at the bar he is a expert and seems to be a fan of people from out of state .

They are suing skiers for skiing on the private property when they close. Mabye open ur resort every day like a real normal resort. The biggest joke I’ve ever heard of. I’d rather stay in Colorado and wait 2 hours at vail for each lift then every give y’all a dime. Truly not for the ski community u say u r but clearly aren’t. Please if your a true skier and have ever skinned or hiked don’t ever go here they are trying to stop hiking up before a complete joke that’s where skiing started.

What can I say...it's our new favorite place. Loved it. Pros: #1 the people #2 the mountain/snow (especially the lower 3 lifts) #3 the ski in/ski out sweet view accomodations close to the lower lodge/lifts #4 Dennis employee next to our condo who was a big help #5 the lower lodge. Cons: #1 hope they fix the water issue in both lodges #2 upper lifts have no bars and are high (scares me).

First let me clarify that this is not a Resort. They litterly are just a bunch of private owned apartment units that are rented by the owners and are not owned by the "Resort" (not a resort). There are no resort amenities. In fact they dont even have a phone in any of the units to call the front desk. The customer service is terrible and units are disgusting, dirty and out dated. The skiing was worse. They barely have a hill to ski. Its like 25 seconds to get back down to the lift from the top. My kids hated it and so did I. You couldnt pay me to go back to this hell hole. If you want zero service, zero amenities, no access to anything to do other than ski on a tiny hill and dont like to have the ability to communicate any issues you might have, this is the place.

As others have said, Eagle Point Resort is one of Utah’s true Hidden and largely undiscovered Gems. Indeed, I almost hesitate to write this review, because I’d like to keep it that way. On the other hand, I want to be sure they enjoy just enough business to make sure they stay open!

We spent this past weekend (Jan 21-22 2017) enjoying epic Utah powder (steep and deep), and my wife, who is an intermediate skier, thoroughly enjoyed the many “blue” intermediate groomed runs that meander through the spectacular evergreens, which were all heavily flocked with snow. The temperatures were in the mid-to-upper twenties. Perfect. It was magical.

We purchased a couple of two-day lift tickets on the web, prior to arrival. I had to double-check the price, because it’s still hard to believe. A two-day lift ticket for an adult, on the weekend, for $68? Where do you find that anymore?

Throughout the weekend, I think we had to wait perhaps three or four times in lift lines that consisted of two people in front of us. (smile)

We stayed with friends in one of their deluxe condos with two bathrooms and a loft, full kitchen, fireplace, washer & dryer, etc. Very cozy and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Firm beds, which we like. A little wine and cheese by the fire. We never got around to eating in the Bar & Grill, but others told us the food was great.

The condos are not “fancy” but they are entirely adequate and comfortable.
Getting up there Saturday morning in the midst of a whiteout (at times) was interesting, but no problem with chains or a 4WD (we had the latter). It had snowed 18 inches the previous 24 hours, and it was snowing heavily on Saturday. (They didn’t get the road plowed until about noon, so we just “followed the tracks” up. It was not a problem.)

When we did check into our condo later that day, it had not been cleaned. We contacted them, and the staff was very nice. Apparently, it was one of the units that is owned, and the owners had shown up unannounced the previous day and failed to inform anyone. It happens, occasionally. They sent someone over and within an hour, everything was in ship-shape with clean sheets and towels and all the rest. And they waived the $35 cleaning fee for us.

The skiing was just marvelous. I spent a good deal of time with my wife on the intermediate runs, and they were just right for her. Sections that were a little steeper and challenged her, followed by areas that were flatter and enabled her to relax more and work on her technique. Perfect. And the snow conditions were just textbook perfect.

I’ve skied all over the U.S. and in Europe. In terms of the snow, it doesn’t get any better.

The mountain is heavily forested, which means the runs meander down through the big trees. Hence, you are largely sheltered from the wind. Yes, the lifts are a bit dated. They don’t have the latest high-speed quads. And they don’t have enough traffic to justify keeping the area open 7 days a week. But the staff is great.

The upper Ski Hut has a complete rental shop with good-quality equipment, skis and snowboards, and you can get a hot meal there as well, including pizza, hot dogs, BLT’s, grilled chicken sandwich with ranch dressing, etc. Plenty adequate for lunch on the hill.

Eagle Point is truly one of Utah’s best kept secrets. It’s casual. Uncrowded. Unspoiled. And though smaller than the “big places,” it’s so nice to more or less have the mountain to yourself.

Yes, Park City and Vail and Aspen and Jackson Hole are great areas with all the latest equipment, etc. But the prices and the crowds exact a toll. Arapaho, Breckenridge, and of course, Alta, can be amazing. But there’s an intimate, family feel, and a kind of “back to basics” sense you get at Eagle Point. It’s a great family spot. There are some very nice blacks for the experienced skier, (and with all that fresh snow, they were a hoot), but the resort is one of the best for the beginning to intermediate skill level.

If you stay during the week, I would recommend you pack some snowshoes or cross-country skis and enjoy a little hiking or cross-country skiing in the area. The scenery is to die for. We’ve also been up there in the summer. Endless hiking. And you can do a little “mountaineering” and bag some 12,000 foot summits in the area, if you’re so inclined. It’s a beautiful locale.

So do visit, and tell your friends, but not too many. Let's keep this gem just a little bit on the "undiscovered" side. :-)

I work for a media company and in all my life I have NEVER seen a more horrible place with customer service. They were terribly MEAN and justified in their behavior and a manager said it is completely ok for their horrible service.

The mountain is cheap to board and closer then Brianhead but NEVER spend the night there or go to their over priced lodge.

Every now and then a great day in skiing shows up,At Eagle Point that day happens everytime your there. You can ski open Powder all weekend and even on Monday morning go find even more. From the ski in ski out condos, the great food ,you are home. This is a ski resort hands down,we find ourself only sharing this stash with family and friends.UNREAL DAYS. Go find this place and you will find yourself leaving your Mammoth pass at home,I DID.And if you still have the legs after a couple days at Eagle ,break out the skins ,the back country gate is open and the back open bowls will find you looking around as if a heli just dropped you there. You don't need to be hard core to be here, Family time is also all over this place.I dare you to just try it once and you can see why this place has the name Eagle.Great work Shane.
