About
Lake Fork Stables, a 501c3 nonprofit, offers a hands on horsemanship and introduction to horses experience. Guests will groom, tack and then ride our retired racehorses and lesson horses. The purpose is to teach safe horsemanship and introduce guests to the world of horseback riding. Guests are required to wear helmets and sign a liability waiver. Guests will ride in our 100x150 foot lighted, outdoor arena. Due to our location near the lake, we are not able to offer trail riding at this time, but this is an option we are working on for the future. Our horses are not like the typical deadhead horses you find at tourist trail rides. They are safe, well-trained horses with personalities! Bookings support our nonprofit programs for local low income, autistic and military kids.

We had an amazing time! We stayed at the Stable view cottages and all of us rode the beautiful, sweet horses! Valerie was awesome at teaching me everything I needed to know about the horses!! We will definitely be back!!
