When it is open from flooding, this is a great day getaway to picnic and enjoy the outdoors. Swim if you can, fish, and enjoy the lake. There’s plenty of room for all!

I had friends staying at this campground. We went out one evening to visit them. At one time I bet this was a nice COE campground. However it appears it has been a long time since any money was put back into the campground area....More

Fantastic place, spacious sites, restrooms and showers cleaned daily. Grandkids came out and played games, rode bikes and enjoyed the cookouts. Attendants very friendly and helpful. The other campers were respectful of the park rules and even over the Labor Day weekend the park was...More

This is our second time to Lake Lavon, and first time to this entrance. The lake is very very muddy and the entrance is super rocky. The other park entrance has a sand beach and is way more enjoyable.

This is a nice place to come to for a picnic or to fish. There are plenty of picnic tables and plenty of spots to fish. There's also spaces for Campers and RV's.

The four people that run the front gate were the rudest people I've encountered in a very long time. I arrived at 10 on the dot (yes that my fault I should have looked that up) but they way they behaved was beyond hateful and...More

This place is awful!! The RV dump station is down; the bathrooms by our spot (#47) had only ONE working toilet and the other toilet had NO toilet paper (I had to take my own toilet paper); and then, because our spot was only 2...More

My husband and I camped here for a week. The location is great, being close to Plano, and George Bush Tollway is nearby. The roads and the park could use some maintenance. We were there Easter Sunday, the campground was full of families and the...More
