This beautiful park has everything you need for a day trip to the lake. I like it because of its sandy beach and you can walk way out in the lake before it gets to deep. It's perfect for kids. The Corp of engineers provides...More

Spots with 50 amp electrical are limited but the park is nice with boat ramp and swimming access. Make reservations, the weekends fill up way ahead of time.

It took us around 45 minutes just to get in the gate. The older gentlemen working the gate was in no hurry. I witnessed some trucks leave because they were tired of waiting. We had other family members arrive earlier and they had the same...More

I liked my camp site, but the sites are bunched tightly together. It is run down. The restrooms and showers are the worst ive seen. I would definantly stay at one of the other parks around the lake.

My family and I stayed Labor Day weekend at McCown Valley Park and had a great time with a camp site that included a screened shelter and was only about 200 ft from the lake shoreline. The facilities are good and well kept.
