We loved this park! The site we were given was on a culdusac and had its own access to beach front where you can fish, skip rocks, swim and more! We were able to see a herd of over 30 deer at the deer crossing, bike and hike the two bridges trail. The other trail was closed due to high... More

Lake Whitney State Park is close enough to my home but far enough away to feel content. There are many activities to do within the Park. This is a great location for camping with your family including children. There are hiking trails, fishing, swimming, cycling, and the opportunity for age-appropriate children to become a Junior Park Ranger. There are specific... More

Came camping here with a group of the Boy Scouts. They have a wonderful facilities to clean bathrooms with showers. It was a little cool at night in the bathrooms were heated. Definitely come back again.

This by far my favorite local state park. There is nothing like taking the camper, boat and jet ski for some fun here. It is a good spot for safe family fun as there is a park attendant there 24hrs a day. The boat ramps are useful and the park is setup nice with great facilities. Almost didn't want to... More

Lake Whitney is really beautiful. Too bad there are no decent restaurants around so take your own food... Grills are available in some areas...deer are rampant so watch driving!

Whether your RVing, primative camping or just out for a picnic this is a great place to spend some time. There are full hookups for your RV or just water and electric sites. Tent sites have screened in shelters with electricity and water. The Showers and restrooms are really nice and wheelchair accessible. A specific fish cleaning area. There is a... More

I dig all of our state parks! I also think, for the most part, the Rangers do a great job! Liked the paths, closeness to the water and facilities! We will return!!

nice clean state park, enjoyed the two bridges hiking trail. we set up camp right next to the lake....the staff lady in the office was super nice and gave us the lakeside spot. The only downfall was that the had a water only spot and the water is shared every few camping spots, ours just happened to not have it... More

Upon arriving I knew this would definitely not make my fave list, but I was hoping for a relaxing time in spite of the close and wide-open campsites. The first evening was going fine, when at 10pm a group of horrible humans decided to camp next to (and I mean less than 20 ft away) our hoped for oasis. I... More
