Estero Llano Grande is my second favorite World Birding Center sites. You will be greeted with a tasteful and modern visitor center and right outside is the Ibis Pond. Even without binoculars (we had them) you could enjoy many of the waterfowls there. There is...More

Really enjoyed my quick trip to this park and will definitely be going back when I have more time to walk the trails. There were many species of ducks in the lake and easy to see and get good photos. I love the natural setting...More

I recommend this park for birders looking to find many South Texas specialty birds. I especially like the hummingbird garden and the pond near the Visitor Center.

but also lovely for resting in the shade on their cool covered porch overlooking the big pond where so many water birds hang out, and many helpful birders with fancy binocs will share their "finds" in focus! We had a Sierra Club meeting here just...More

Worst keep state park I've ever seen. Place where the camp host are at looks like a trashy mobile home park. Can't believe it's still open.

There is a daily entrance fee of $5 per person. If you plan to visit several times, or go to other state parks, you can buy a yearly pass for $70, which admits the cardholder and at least one other person.
