While in the area, we decided to see Black Panther again. This theater had nice reclining seats. They offered military discount on our tickets. Concession stand was the same as other theaters. There was a nice older gentleman at the bar area who carded me in a very polite manner before he gave me my cup of Corona.

My wife and I have gone to several movies a week for more than a decade, and Cinemark 18 Webster was our main venue for most of that time. It has always has an excellent variety of features, good refreshments at reasonable prices, and a homelike atmosphere. We'd usually come early, get a 'senior special' (drink and popcorn at a fair discount), and find good seats when the auditorium was available.
But our old mainstay and we have moved apart. We relocated further from Cinemark 18 (and from Cinemark 12 Texas City--one of the budget choices in this region!), and Cinemark 18 has joined the national trend toward online reservations, reserved, reclining seats, Dolby sound, and higher prices. Row C IS a great place to sit (as another reviewer helpfully mentioned). And the various special pricing occasions and senior discounts on tickets and concessions remain. But our homey old friend has had a makeover and is both less accommodating and considerably more expensive than before. I especially resent going to the box office, discovering the film we want to see is (only) in the reserved/reclining auditoria, buying the seats, and discovering that most of the good ones are off-limits, only to clamor to the nosebleed section and discover that most of the better seats remain unoccupied throughout the movie.
In summary: large cinemaplex with a good variety of first-run films and special live and vintage events; reliably good popcorn; growing amenities, including exceptional seating and sound in the fancier and pricier auditoria--and rising barriers to full enjoyment I've mentioned earlier. We still like Cinemark 18 Webster, but I'm not sure how much she likes or values us.

They have been renovating the theaters and many have reclining seats now. We sat in row D and it was very comfortable however, for short people when you lean back, the lower part of the screen is cut off by the wall dividing the rows. Row C has the best seats.

This place!!! Waited in line 20 minutes at the concession stand and the employees move at a snails pace and have no regard for the customer.
This place is completely understaffed. Be smart and stay home instead of the frustration of waiting in line to get in and then wait again to pay for an over priced a drink!!! UGH spoke to "manager" who was a complete jerk.

Year after year, this cinema continues to NOT run air conditioning in some theaters. Managers must have a SCRIPT because they ALWAYS give the same reason. They say staff is supposed to tell you when they “tear your tickets” about heat. At THAT point you have spent time and money. Have called/emailed Corporate with ZERO response. Such a shame. Customer service is simply GONE.

About half-way through the movie, I felt something rub against my shoe. When I looked down a mouse was under the seat! It ran around the isle and then back into the seats. I reported it to the manager who was not surprised. She sent a teenager in to "look for it".
This is a dirty, rodent-infested establishment. Attend movies at your own risk.

Why in the world does Cinemark only have 3-4 registers open during Christmas time!
This location constantly scrimps on customer service.

This theater is always very clean! They all have the luxury loungers, which are super comfortable and large. They now have a bar, as well as burgers, pizza, and your normal movie food. The prices are higher here than at the Cinemark Hollywood in Pasadena. Staff has always been friendly. There's a couple bars right by there if you want to grab a cocktail before or after. Make sure to buy your tickets online because it's all reserved seating now and if you don't, you may have crappy seats. Good place.

Lots of screens and technology choices. Very friendly staff. Clean theater, good sound. If you go to see the 3D don't sit in the middle it puts the light from the projector on your feet and sometimes messes with the glasses. Very comfortable seats.

This theater shows some of the latest movies and on Monday and Tuesday's it has good prices. The seats are comfortable and the sound is good. But the theater could use some renovation as some of the seats are broken. We go to this theater often because it has shows we want to see and it's easy to get to and parking is good.

How much are tickets for a movie?
BillyPilgrim615

Hi, Kimberly. TravelAdvisor thinks I should answer your question about ticket prices at the movies hereabouts. It's been two days, and very likely you've moved beyond that issue already? Anyhow, some local theaters, at certain times on certain days, are less than $5; most are in the $8-10 range most of the time. And some will show movies you want to see in Dolby-equipped auditoriums with reserved reclining seats, for costs in the $12-17 dollar range. I have two favorite 'inexpensive' theaters in my neck of the woods, southeast of Houston - Cinema Premier 6 in Pearland and Cinemark 12 in Texas City--old-time theaters, very good popcorn, and budget prices. If I can help, call me: 281-217-4835 Blessings! Will Hensel, Houston
