Clark Gardens Botanical Park welcomes visitors all year long. The breathtaking 35 acre oasis awakens the senses, stirs the spirit and relaxes the mind. From the first spring blossoms to the colorful fall and into the stillness of winter there is a sense of magic. Wheelchair accessible pathways wind through lavish ribbons of color and fragrance. Waterfalls sparkle in the sunlight splashing down to ponds and lakes where black and white swans, along with other waterfowl, glide in the shimmering waters. You may see peacocks strutting, or get a glimpse of blue herons or great egrets swooping down, their huge wingspans casting shadows over the lakes.

I was working for a company that sent me to Clark Gardens for a festival. What a surprise this was because I didn't even know a garden this beautiful existed here in Parker County. There are huge shade trees, flowers and fountains over acres of walk ways. There are wonderful facilities for weddings and other types of gatherings. This is... More

Clark Gardens is a special place that we take our students each year. Mr. Clark is a sweet man that you might get the opportunity to see with his dog on his golf cart. There are also peacocks that you will hear and possibly see. This is a very beautiful place that I highly recommend visiting.

We stopped here after visiting the Vietnam War Memorial nearby, only to find the garden is not open during the summer - tours by appointment only from July 4 through Labor Day. Be sure to check their website for seasonal opening hours and the phone number to try to arrange a special tour during the summer. We did not get... More

My sons love this place! We take our kiddos here every summer- I don't know how they manage to have such a pretty garden in this part of Texas! The boys just like petting the cat, watching the peacocks, viewing the trains and looking for lizards. Bring bread or crackers for the birds and fish, and, when you arrive, be... More

Very nice gardens, with plenty of trails to walk. You will see many kinds of plants and trees, but how much beautiful foliage you see depends on the time of year you visit. Many of the plants were over by the end of June. There were some pear trees producing and peaches coming close to production, but some of the... More

These gardens are a true hidden treasure. There are a wide variety of flowers and plants to see. It is a very serene place for a nice afternoon stroll. They do have some higher energy special events that are fun for the whole family.

When my family and I visited, a wedding was being set up in the Channel gardens. I thought what a spectacular venue for a wedding! There are other areas throughout the garden -- like the lake pavilion -- that would be ideal for special events. My family enjoyed wandering through Clark Gardens. We especially enjoyed the blooming water lilies. And... More
