The Texas Sports Hall of Fame is nicely done and is worthy of a visit. From High School to College to Professionals Sports the exhibits are nicely laid out. We arrived at 4:00 PM and the Hall closed at 5:00 so we had to rush through it. I would suggest at least 2 hours to see each exhibit in detail and watch the videos.

My husband and I visited the TSHOF yesterday. Quite a bit of memorabilia on athletes who were either born in TX or played on TX teams. I enjoyed seeing all the SWC displays as well as the room dedicated to Tom Landry, and all the baseball stuff. If you are a TX sports fan, you should definitely find time to visit the TSHOF.

This is the kind of place for people who love history and sports and stats and stars. Of course it is more fun to get on the list to attend the induction events when the legends are on the scene, but if you have some time in Waco it is a very informative visit.

I've been to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame several times over the years. Since they expanded a few years ago and added the Southwest Conference wing, I enjoyed it even more, having grown up during that era. Lots of interesting memorabilia from over the years from a wide variety of sports - not just football. The Museum is also a great place to host a corporate event if your are looking for something unique.

There are displays for almost every kind of sport. There's a large SWC section that displays memorabilia and retired mascot outfits. There's a section to Texas HS HoF too. Evidently you can schedule a special event or banquet because they were setting up for one as we were leaving (good to know if we were locals, ijs). We have all boys: 4, 15, 17. We all enjoyed it! It's also walking distance from the History and Science Museum. Both museums are on the Baylor campus. Good experience overall.

The museum is larger than we thought and took us about 2 hours to explore, including watching the Landry film, though we could have spent longer if we stopped to read everything in full detail. The gift shop is rather small and parking was confusing as there are signs saying reserved parking outside the museum, though we were told this was only in effect on game days. The museum is staffed by a baylor student, in this Chad was there and he was both helpful and knowledgeable. For Football fans there is a Tom Landry exhibit, a Nolan Ryan exhibit for the baseball fans and a George Foreman exhibit for the boxing aficionados, though several sports are showcased here, including prominent athletes that studied at other Universities.

If you are a sports fan, any sport, and don't mind walking through a maze of history to get to your favorite athlete, then this place is for you. The old sports equipment and the detailed history is worth the stroll through this museum!

This museum should be free of charge. Nice displays honoring some sports. Disappointed as the selection of honorees. No volleyball, Olympians, or females.

So enjoyed my visit to the Sports Hall of Fame. Learning about all the athletes from Texas. The Friday Night lights exhibit brought back memories of high school football. The tennis exhibit was enlightening. Nolan Ryan's world series rings, wow!
