We went at the end of July, 2016 on the spur of the moment. We are happy to say we were glad we did. They have a lot of great wines. Mulsum is a white wine sweetened with honey... skeptical at first... but it was the best tasting wine we tasted thus far. We sampled several others and found a nice Heart of Texas Cherry. A dessert wine made with a blend of grapes and black cherries. Awesome. We drank a bottle of Porch Red a sweet Complex full bodied red while we were there. We brought home 2 of Muslim and 2 Heart of Texas Cherry.
The owners are new and answered all of our questions.
It is VERY COLD INSIDE. They had jackets and blankets to help with the coldness.
Portapotty outside.. Very Clean and air conditioned with sinks.

Nice winery undergoing major changes. The old tasting trailer is gone and they are in a temporary building. They have lots going on. New people are very welcoming. They will eventually be a happening place. The wines are good. Tasting is $5 but you are welcome to share between two of you. They are bringing in new wines and plan more. Visited old owners but very glad to see new owners. Will stop again.

Stoped in recently for a wine flight and hummus tapenade. The wine selection is decent. Recommend the Coastal Red and Red table.

Nice name. Upstairs, tasting room booked for event, rooftop patio had no ambiance or view (except of building walls next door, sound of air conditioner). Server wasn’t sure which glass of wine was which...

We came for the Stagecoach Wine Trail & the checkin was a breeze, nice table set up either inside or the rooftop. They however didn’t have the three wines I wanted to sample, so I opted for the Red Sangria & it was delicious! If I’m back this way, I’d stop & get some more. No chocolate truffles though 👎🏾

This place is off the beaten path down TX-6 about 5 minutes from town. They do not grow a substantial amount of grapes and the red wines I tasted rated from poor to very good. Of course it's all what you like so don't dismay.
They offer wine by the glass $5. Bottle $16.95-$44.95. And 5 tastings for $10.
I just went down the list of reds. I loved the Porch Red. It was very fruity- black berries and plum. I bought a bottle for $17.95 before the military discount and tax.
I didn't like the Heart of Texas Red at all. It was supposed to be like a Chianti but it just tasted like vinegar to me.
The Plantation Red was okay but not worth $18.95 when you can get a better bottle at Costco for $6.99.
The Heart of Texas Cherry was more of a desert wine with black cherry flavor. It was a great desert wine and for Waco that's pretty good, but there are far superior wines in the Fredericksburg Hill Country.
The 2011 Harrison Plantation port and their award winning 2010 Harrison Plantation port were good but not to my liking.
They also had 5-6 whites or blends that I didn't sample.
This winery is transitioning ownership and branding. The signage on site says Waco Winery but the bottled wine is labeled Tehuacana Creek Vineyards & Winery. The lady offering the samples was fairly new but knew enough about what she was pouring and was very friendly.
A local walked in and monopolized my tasting time. He apparently grows grapes in the area and sold some to this winery because they were short this year. Maybe that accounts for some of the unusual taste I experienced.
This is a small operation but they look like they are trying to grow. They had about a dozen tables for get togethers and said they could seat 60. Tablecloths and a centerpiece were on each table.
When you arrive park on the rear side of the building. You'll see modern portajohns or mobile restrooms out back. The door for entry is not marked and if it wasn't for seeing the grapes growing in the fields I would have not known if I was at the right location.
This place has the opportunity for growth and development. With the right management they could become a popular hang out. I wouldn't write them off. Take the time and try them out. Support the only small business/winery in town.

My girlfriends came into town for our annual trip, and we went to the Winery for a tasting. Our hostess, Isis was AMAZING and incredibly attentive. Not only was the wine great, but everyone was so friendly, from one of the owners who greeted us and checked on us, to each of the staff, it made the customer experience top notch. The rooftop patio was nice, and the chocolate truffles were beyond words. As a Wacoan, of course I will be back, but more importantly, my out of town visitors want to come back again as well. Cool place to have in Waco!

Made the most of the wine tasting. They offer 5 for $10 which is a good price. Since they have 12 wines on their menu, we asked to try their 10 most favorite wines to maximize our tasting experience. All but one wine is from grapes grown on property a few miles away. Nice selection of wines to meet almost any taste.

When ever I travel I have to find a winery to go to and taste some wine. Tastings are $10 for 5. I liked 4 of the 5 I tasted and bought two bottles. It is a small winery and it just changed owners recently. They have some great ideas and are looking at expanding. The owners were very friendly and fun to talk with. It is a little interesting pulling up because it looked like a shed, but was nice.

What a hidden gem, the staff are wonderful. its chilly in there i recommend taking a jacket. i like sweeter wines and i found only one i liked but everyone's taste is different so i think you should take a chance. if not for the wine but for the company. Cassandra i think her name was also helped us find a few local hot spots downtown to check out.
