A great historical home to visit at Christmas time! Local seniors are enlisted as docents and their historical attire adds to their stories. My daughters and I visit every December.

I love little history tidbits that you would only learn and understand fully on tours like this. Ask about "Good night Sleep Tight" (from tightening bed ropes). Tour guide was informative and friendly.

Visited Waco for the day and found the museum. It is really interesting to see how the people lived and the history that surrounds the families that have lived there.

We were pleasantly surprised to come across this delightful little find that gave us a verbal and visual history lesson as the enthusiastic tour guide walked us through this grand old mansion. Totally worth the time and money (not expensive) to take this little tour.

Around 45 minutes but it can be less if you're short on time. It can also be longer if you have lots of questions or if you want to really take your time looking at the items in the house. The guides are great about... More
