The Brazos is the 11th longest river in the U.S., so when you see you will understand why. It is HUGE and beautiful. I just wanted to jump in. There are several places in Waco to go along the river bank, and Park East is just wonderful. A must stop and take a time out moment.

Didn't remember about this place until I was reintroduced to it a few weeks ago. It is beautiful and had been redone over the past few years. Great walking or running path, whichever you prefer. Great view of the Brazos River. If you play disk golf, there is that as well. One side is the walking/running path. The other is more open with sitting areas along the river as well as picnic areas. There is also plenty of grassland to sit or bring your dog. This area is a secret gem. If you haven't been, please do. You won't be disappointed.

Grandchildren loved "running" with the longhorn cattle and cowboys. Enjoyed the history of the bridge.

Recently went to Brazos Park East for a little fishing with family. First off would like to say they have done a wonderful job so far on park. There were a few fishing spots, but we're not easily accessed. I recommend putting in a few fishing "friendly" spots. Especially where Bosque & Brazos meet.

We attended the Out of Darkness Walk here recently. The Park is very beautiful and being able to walk on the paths right beside the river was great.

We hold many of our 5k runs here. Pretty location right along the Brazos river. You can have a picnic here and there is also a pavilion. Small boats or kayaks can also be launched here.

We were just passing through Waco to see Magnolia Market and Silos and happened upon this park and river walk at sunset. It was a beautiful park with a walkway along the river. There was a picnic area, clean restrooms, a nice grassy area to play catch or relax, huge trees, and best of all was just enjoying the scenery and walking with the sun going down. It was lovely and peaceful, and to top it off, there was live music playing from downtown across the river.

This park is a very good place for a family outing. Some places offer just entertainment for kids, but this place offers much more.

This is the newest park on our river. A great place for family picnics or a walk/run. Many local events are held at the park from concerts, food festivals, runs, etc. Enjoy a great view of the Cameron Park cliffs from this side of the river.

Across the river from Cameron Park, this nice "little" park has disc golf, boat ramps, a huge first-rate horseshoe pitching area, and trails. Also has a beautiful view of the limestone cliffs across the river at Lovers Leap.
