My kids absolutely love this place. A must see for only around $5 or $6. The whole upstairs is dedicated for the kiddos. Very educational and fun for them. All hands on activities. They even have some critters and small animals for the them to learn about in aquarium cages. The train set around a replica town of Waco was... More

This museum is built in a grand building. All the displays are sectioned off in individual rooms and many are very hands on for the children. There are docents everywhere to help explain/teach things to the kids. A really decent gift shop. We paid extra for my niece to visit the traveling exhibit. That was the true hit because she... Fantastic museum! Reasonable entry fees, helpful employees, no crowds, tons of hands on activities for children, great habitat exhibits, mammoth excavation exhibit is awesome! Pleiosaur (?) excavation info and exhibit are organized well. Something for everyone in the family! AC beats the summer heat.

This is one of the best children's museums we've been to for many reasons: - it's huge. You never feel crowded - easy, free parking right outside the door - easy on & off I-35 - Reasonable entry fees - Lots of bathrooms with changing tables & also nursing rooms - many interactive exhibits for all ages & wide variety... The Mayborn museum is a wonderful place to visit for people of all ages. For a city the size of Waco, it is truly a "gem" for our city. The staff work diligently to offer quality exhibits for the entire family to enjoy. They even have free admission on the first Sunday afternoon of each month. It is well worth... More

Passing through after visiting the Mammoth Park and kids insisted on going to see the mammoth exhibit they heard about at the park. Great 1.5 hr tour cut short because the museum closed at 5. We did not see the special exhibit bc we knew our time was limited. I had kids aged 8, 9, and 12 and my 70... More

Went to the museum to see if it.was a good place to bring my great nephews when they visit. About a 45 min drive and we'll worth it. There were hands on activities, history and exhibits for all ages of kids. I really enjoyed the history of Texas and learning about Texas wild life, flora and mammoths. The villages are... More

This is such a great place to take the kids and avoid a day of summer heat! I take my kids age 3 and 7, on a regular basis all year round. This is an inexpensive activity that is so fun and educational for the entire family!
