Disclaimer: We only visited the Discovery Area for children so our visit it based on that section of the museum. I went here with my five-year-old and 2.5-year-old and their favorite area was Play Waco, a sort of village with costumes and themed stations/storefronts and vehicles for imaginative play. There are several, varied interactive displays. My only feedback is that... More

We have been members of this museum for 4 years, but don't get to visit a lot. I recently took my 1 year and 8 year olds and they have an awesome time. Specifically my 1 year old who got a chance to experience the newly renovated/updated toddler section. The area was so nice and more age appropriate. That area... More

This museum has plenty of interactive exhibits to entertain children, young or old, for hours. We spent several hours here with our grandchildren ages 8, 10 and 12. They loved it.

I'd heard good things but never visited the museum until our zoo trip got canceled..what a fantastic experience..!! The children (2 & 6) had the most amazing time and love that they were able to touch everything..lol..the staff was very attentive to the kids and their questions..you definitely want to stop by even if you don't have children with you..!!

There are so many different interactive things for kids to do. You could spend half a day here just enjoying the displays and letting the kids play and discover.

This museum is pure class. I can only imagine the amount of money that was required to bring the Mayborn to reality. Much time is spent on the history of the complex and its primary founder and in describing skeletons of large creatures who have roamed the earth and the seas. There is a giant humpback whale skull (found in... More

We absolutely loved it. My kids are 5, 4 and 1. They all had a blast. Especially in the discover area and the tea house. We were also able to watch the bearded dragons eat some crickets. I saw they have a birthday party room. Which looks fun to do.

We spent a couple of hours in the museum but missed the village outside in the back because it closed at 4:00. We will plan another trip.

I was expecting an astronomy wing (I don't know why lol) besides that I loved the customer service and the exhibitions. I was left wanting more! The prices in their store are super cheap and they have a nice variety of stuff that would cost you the double at a Discovery store. I would come back if I visit Waco... More

I've taken my 2 granddaughters (4 & 5 yrs.) here a few times, I think they enjoy it but to me it's very basic and a lot of the rooms are boring and a lot of things don't function properly. Maybe an upgrade on many things would hold their interest longer.
