Utopia indeed!

A truly charming community! Very friendly people. We visited the Methodist church ( they have a wonderful labyrinth). The golf course is a must! Utopia is indeed a special place!

What a great place to visit in the Texas Hill Country. It is a special place in the Hill Country with hiking at Lost Maples State Natural Area with lunch at Lost Maples Cafe in Vanderpool. In the fall of the year, the colors of the trees is simply a must see experience. But, it is wonderful anytime of the... More

We have gone to Utopia several times. Each time we have truly enjoyed our stay at Utopia on The River. The place is amazing as well as the breakfast served fresh each morning. You feel like you are at home and you are always treated like family! Love Utopia

Nifty little town. A kind of throw back into the past. A tiny place that is still functioning and seems to be doing quite well. There are a few boarded up places but the town looks to be alive and well.

Utopia has a beautiful and crystal clear river running through the town by the park. We also ate dinner at the very friendly Utopia Cafe with very generous servings and best known for their pie!

Neatest little hiil country hamlet. I enjoyed all the little shops and the tiny town feel. When we were there they were having a parade thru town. Everyone rancher and business and school was involved.

This is THE PLACE to go if you are wanting to relax in one of the most beautiful places in Texas! Stay at Sabinal River Lodge!!! It's a must! The lodge is very very nice and very affordable but the main reason is the owner Kim. She is the jewel of the whole place and of our whole trip!! Customer... More

This part of Texas is beautiful, so why not take a quick trip through Utopia? The name alone is worth a picture or two. This quiet little town is so serene and tranquil. There's not much to actually DO in Utopia, but so what? Sometimes it's nice to just go visit someplace just to see it. It's just a sleepy... More

Nice little park with picnic area & swimming in river. Good eats at Lost Maples Cafe, quaint little grocery with a deli/meat for reasonable prices. Check out the back roads. We encountered peacocks, deer, horses & a number of other animals in pens/pastures & even wandering around in yards & the road. Camping/hiking/swimming at nearby Garner State Park & Lost... More
