This antique auditoium often has live entertainers (most of them are living). Parking and and even entering the expensive parking lot are difficult and rule this out as an attractive day/evening out. Of interest is the fact that the venue was built by Bobby Manziel to be a boxing arena for top level boxers. He was the manager of Jack Dempsey. Seating is bad (bleachers) and acoustics are not much better. Of course most acts bring their own sound systems.

Seriously don’t waste your time. This place is old, rundown, the people are rude and traffic to get in and out is horrible. Even their so-called shuttle service is a joke. Don’t do it!!

For what its worth, should you ever plan attending an event at the Oil Palace. Do yourself a big favor find another event or location! Traffic was not even a stand still pace from in town to the venue. Four hours in traffic with traffic lights no help and no police directing traffic until we were 1/2 mile from the location. Raining cats and dogs, no street lights, just... highway with dark road. Sheriff's Department was parked on the turn lane in front of The Oil Palace. A man approached vehicles in line trying to drive into the parking lot. He advised the Oil Palace parking lot was full and we had to park along side the highway and walk. I told him that was Totally Unacceptable as we were both handicapped. One of the deputies allowed us to park in front of them so I could walk up to the Will Call Box Office Window. I pled my case to the manager of the Oil Palace named Janice. I advised her to treat paying customers with little to no respect after paying lots of money to travel as we had and with the purchase of tickets to the event was again as mentioned previously Poor and Totally Unacceptable business practice! I further advised we would never be back as others were leaving complaints as well regarding their frustrations. I would love to see and hear Tenth Avenue North and MercyMe, but due to poor business practices we trust the LORD will help us to see them some other time! $260.00 down the drain... While The Oil Palace states "NO REFUNDS GIVEN!" I have to say that straight from the hip, the manager knew I was extremely upset by the experience she gave me a full refund! The only good thing beside safe travel we experienced.

We sat in traffic for over 2 hours and as we were close to the entrance, were told the parking was full. Cars were lined up in ALL directions so we didn't see the need to try to find parking down the road and walk when it was already 8:15 and the concert started at 7. This venue was NOT prepared for a concert like Mercy Me. I've left 2 voice mails asking for someone to contact me. We have been looking forward to this concert for a long time. What a disappointment! Management needs to do the RIGHT thing and refund our money.

This was the worst experience at a concert we’ve ever had! This venue is not capable of hosting a large event of any kind. We waited in line to park for 2 1/2 hours, to then park at a gas station across a busy highway about 1/2 mile away! Our seats were crowded & HOT! We saw several people arguing about seats, because their seats had been doubled booked!!! I did not intend on giving a poor review, until I saw that The Oil Palace is blaming their clientel! According to their FB page, we should have arrived hours early (3:00 for a 7:00 concert) to avoid this delay!!! CRAZY!! Do NOT attend any event at this poorly managed facility!!!!
