We have visited the zoo many times. Kids always have a blast. There is a lot of parking as it gets packed sometimes. The rainbow snowcones are nice on a hot day and reasonably priced. My favorite animals are the bears and the otters. They are absolutely adorable.

We took our 2 yr old granddaughter to the Caldwell Zoo, in Tyler Texas. This was her first trip to a zoo and she loved it-- loved seeing the animals that she had only seen pictures of in books. Great variety of animals- flamingoes, hippos, giraffes, rhino, snakes, bears, birds-- They were expanding the elephant exhibit but did have 2... More

I have visited this zoo several times in the last 5 years and I love it. My favorite parts are the bird cage, where kids can feed the birds. Also, the area where one can pet goats is great. I went last week and found that the Africa section was closed because it was being remodeled. It should be open... More

This was a great little getaway. My husband & I were the first to get there as it opened. It was as if we were the only ones at the zoo. 😊 We had such a great time enjoying each others company, watching the animals, and just being in a very peaceful environment. I would highly recommend going to this... More

The zoo has so much, considering its size! We had a great time watching the penguins! The safari enclosure was impressive!

I ended up buying a membership because it was cheaper then all of us going in once. I am sad I ended up doing so, as I expect we won't return.

Clean zoo!!! Many call this a small zoo so we were surprised how large it really was!!!!! From giraffes, zebras, elephants, Tigers, lions and bears to monkeys, birds, flamingos and turkeys... Caldwell had it all and cute play areas for little ones. Clean zoo, friendly staff. Gem of a zoo!! Loved it!!! Definitely go see the Caldwell zoo!!!!

Nice smaller, friendly zoo, exceptionally clean. The staff were eager to talk with us about animals and the exhibits. The best part was the wild bird walkabout, an enclosure we went in and fed tropical birds. The worst part was the current construction that prevented us from seeing the elephants and giraffes. We would definitely visit again.

Zoo trips are always fun with the kiddos. Caldwell Zoo is always a fun one. They are currently under construction in some areas. Bird cage and snake house are the kids favorite.
